Rutgers was 9-4 ats in the RAC lyr,15-2 overall.But Columbia is 7-4,8-4 and 7-5 ats away the past 3 yrs.In fact the Lions lyr covered vs UCLA and Providence and the yr before vs Miami,Nova,and the Cuse.Against the big boys they have done well.
Armond Hill's team play that great defense and that motion offense.Drives teams nuts with that slow pace.And yes Hill played at Princetown.
But Col. lost 4 starters and only 7'0 Weidemann is back.He is there top rebounder and shot blocker.Texas juco star Owens will help them.Yes,A juco player at Columbia.He must of scored 1200 on the bds[SAT}.
Rutgers comes in loaded at the gds spots.Walters has way to many.Coleman is one of the best shooters in the BE.Shields,Sherrod,Wiggans,and the frosh from Detroit Wooten.Where is everyone going to get time.Then you have Lamizana the 6'10 foward who thinks he's a pt gd.He can shoot from anywhere.Wright beat out Axani at the post.Add a couple of 6'7 and 6'8 freshmen and Walters has a decent team.But no inside scoring what so ever.
He will get by tonite vs. inferior competition but when the big boys come it will be there achilles heel.

Who knows what the super frosh will do.
Penn st 2 gds are solid in Chambliss and Watkins.Add newcomer Cameron who can play vs the NC super frosh.Lost Tielsch there top scorer in preseason.he quit the team this week.
NC has a great recruiting yr with Felton the next superstar.
Lyr they lost to Hampton in the opener.I'll take Penn St and pray.Really not a play.To many question marks this early in the season.
St Peters +31 over Xavier
C'mon.So what Bob Leckie's team has back to back 4-24 seasons.One of Boxes greatest players played for the Peacocks.I loved driving down to Jersey City to those games.Clark and Robinson at gds are not in fear of the X.Corien John is really there only solid player.So what that they were last in the Metro Conf in FT's, TO's, defense,shooting pct, and lost all 9 home games.
They are on the road.
So "X" is ranked 10th in the nation.West is 1st team all american.Well he is going against Ivan Bozovic tonite.Now maybe West will slice and dice Ivan on the court.But Ivan would kick West's ass in a real fight.
Have to pass on this game though.I know Leckie and will be betting with my heart.
Maybe a prayer to St pete might help.But Xavier is a cathloic school too.Damn
