i love this game. i dont see e. carolina having much of a ground game agains s. florida and qb troth looked good against army(big deal) but there is no way he can carry ecu over s. florida.

any thoughts are appreciated. someone please tell me why this is a +1/pick em game. thanks:shrug:

the only thing that comes to mind is the home field and it may be a conference usa officiating crew....if it`s a conference usa crew,we`re screwed...that said,usf is by far the better team....troth has struggled this year vs pretty weak competition...usf on the other hand has seen some rough defenses(oklahoma,n texas,sou miss and arkansas)....they beat n texas at n texas,beat sou miss and played oklahoma tough....arkansas blew them out (as they did other good smaller schools at home(boise)).....east carolina gives up 221 ypg rushing vs weak competition....and so fla gained around 220 yards rushing vs tough so miss last week....2 questions-will they suffer a letdown after usm win?....will it be conference usa officials reffing the game?.....otherwise,all the tangible edges have to go to usf(especially defense and at qb-blackwell light years better than troth)....that`s what i see...g.l.

I looked at his game and yes I agree SO FL is the far better team.

Line looks a little fishy, but so what. Cant let that scare you off.

Some Positive Factors:
ECU is poor against the run, 108th in the nation.

SO FLs.defense is the real deal. 17th against the run and 43rd against the pass

SO FL has played some tough opponents on the road.

SO FL has a legitimate chance to run the table and go 9-2. They can?t overlook anyone.

Some Negative Factors:

C-USA Officiating Crew

ECU coaching has to now this is a down year for them and could be making this a game of the year type of deal to their players.

Right now the positives outweigh the negatives. But I plan to read some ECU papers and talk to some people. I am curious to know what the sediment is in ECU as it is a day away from game time.
