thanks, monster, i saw your post after i made mine. serena, as i wrote, has just screwed time after time, worse than any player or team across all sports. just a statistical fluke i guess. doesn't matter whether i bet on her or against her, i lose. but here, i'm playing real cautious because i really think this is a tossup match. i think safina if anything ought to be favored, but cant be because of history.
one thing about these girls is neither will crack mentally, and that seems to make the difference in women's matches.
must say, i'm tired of this blue clay. blue surfaces seem to irritate the eye, even tho blue in general is cool or soothing. it's getting like that idaho smurf turf. what i really dont like is that it seems to be playing like blue clay. i want a truly hard surface. these guys are swinging like paul bunyan and the ball plays like they're on a feather bed. clay is ok, but i want genuine hard court match and watch Fed smashTF out of the ball and hit clean winners.
