Sadly, Schoep has passed

Unfortunately, the beautiful dog in this picture passed away yesterday at the age of 20 and almost three weeks. The picture went viral some years ago as one of the best photos of the year. I followed the heartwarming back story about Schoep the dog and John. Really a great story, sad to read this.

This dog has been on the news a lot around here over the past, it's a rather local story, a great story as well. I always wondered what kind of shape the dog was in.
