Have enjoyed reading all the threads about this but I just don't understand how it is possible for the government to monitor and enforce this act.

Sure, they can stop credit cards, but how many people still even do that. Most of us have a middle man in the process. How can they stop someone from sending money to FirePay? Which isn't a casino or illegal.

Then what's to stop my middle man from transferring to and from a sportsbook? Are these sportsbooks supposed to not take our business because they know we are from the United States?

There seems to be many way bigger issues out there right now for them to try their hand at preventing us from gambling online. Cite all the data and records from reckless people's gambling loss but those kinds of gamblers will find ways to lose their money. I say, let us have our fun.

That is exactly what several off shore sports books are doing, including the closing of existing accounts. The fact that it is illegal for a US Resident to open an account with these establishments, you may find banking and other service related industries will be required to report you when use use Fire Pay, Netteller or Western Union.
