The San Diego Padres go for three straight wins tonight when they play the second of a four-game set at Colorado.

The Under has cashed in 12 of 17 recent meetings between these teams and we believe that trend will continue tonight.

The Padres are last in the NL West at 22-49 while the Rockies have dropped four of six to be in third place at 35-36.

Right-hander Jake Peavy (5-5, 4.59 ERA) heads to the mound for the Padres and tries to win consecutive starts for the first time in two months. He has already faced the Rockies once this year when he have up six hits and six earned runs in a 8-0 loss at Coors Field. Opponents are hitting just .220 against Peavy this season.

The Rockies have called up veteran leftie Denny Neagle from Triple-A Colorado Springs to start tonight. The 34 year-old will make his first start for 2003 after suffering complications from surgery on his left elbow. His 8-11 record in 2002 was his first losing season since 1994 when he went 9-10 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 26 games against the Padres (including 14 starts) he is 7-4 with a 2.62 ERA.

We're expecting 10-12 runs to be scored tonight and recommend the Under.

Recommended Play: Under 12.5 -125
