I have been thinking about this for a while. I remember when I was a kid most of mine were unwrapped, but I loved unwrapping presents. I think I will go with unwrapping instead of a display. :0008

I'm curious if this is a regional thing. I grew up in the NE. Everything was wrapped, even the shit in our stockings. I'm obviously biased but there is no greater excitement than coming downstairs and seeing all of those wrapped presents and having no idea what's inside. Really big items, like bikes, were unwrapped, but that is it.

My wife is from the south and everything from Santa is unwrapped. So for our kids we do sort of a hybrid.

I really don't get the unwrapped business. It's like 3 seconds of megajoy and then your massive load is busted and there's not much left. The kids see everything from Santa in about 10 seconds....then what?! Some socks wrapped up from grandma, awesome.

My default argument with my wife is that almost all Santa movies have the presents from the big man wrapped. Can we really argue against that fact?!

We ( my wife ) Wrap all the kids gifts but all the adults get gift bags.

IMO the gift bag is one of the greatest inventions of our time. If you ever saw my wrap jobs you would understand and totally agree.

Everything in our house gets wrapped by me. Even my own stuff lol. Except for my kids- they wrap their own gifts to everyone else so I don't see what they are. Although this year Kolby has come up with a new way of wrapping. Instead of putting it in a box or something like that he wraps it exactly how it looks. Breanna is getting a soccer ball and I'm getting a neck pillow for in the car. :142smilie But I love the effort he puts into it.

Wrapping presents just makes more work for my wife. Id rather her spare time invested in the yard.
