YTD 2-0 +12 units

Texas Tech +14 6 units

Tech should have some guys back they've been missing for a few games. Techs offense is going to score and I would guess they at least get in the 35 point range. The question is can they then hold OU to less than 49. I think they can for two reasons. Everyone knows the one thing that really kills Techs D is a good running game. OU has the backs but they haven't had a great running game so far. IMO it's because their offensive line isn't up to it's normal level. That puts a lot of pressure on Mayfield. I think if there's one coach that knows Bakers weaknesses it's Kingsbury. He knows what rattles Mayfield and what throws he has a hard time with. Under Gibbs Tech has really had a big turnaround in their turn over margin. Gibbs said they would give up yards but he wanted take aways and he's made that happen. Baker can be a TO machine and I wouldn't expect that to change this week. He'll be pressing to do well against his old team and even though it might be ok for some of the game, it won't for all of the game.

I know a lot of people will look at Techs play last week and question this week. Tech hasn't had a bye this year and by the way a lot of players either sat out or were "injured" I would think Kingsbury basically used it as a bye.

They certainly played like it was a bye week wood.
I was leaning this way earlier but not sure i'll play it. Mayfield has been on a mission ever since the second half of the Tennessee game and the Ok pass D has been nails so this should be a good one. GL

SDS, the question to me is whether OUs pass D has been good because it is or because of who they've played. Tech's Mahomes is a really really good QB and outside of last week has played great football. IMO he'll be by far the best QB OU has faced. Add to it that Tech is averaging 6.1 YPR and I think it causes problems for OU.

Texas Tech's opponents have passed for an average of 284ypg, while Oklahoma's opponents have passed for an average of 217ypg; if I hadn't made any mistakes. FBS opponents only. So say 67 yard difference, fairly substantial I guess.

Cruncher, just so I'm not confused. The teams Tech has faced average 284 ypg passing against all of their opponents or is that was the FBS teams that have played Tech averaged against Tech? I think it means what they're averaging for year as whole.

That would basically mean OU hasn't faced too much in the way of passing.
