MC, The Zips miss Linhart much more than I suspected they would. His ability to shut down a big scoring opponent, hustle, leadership and just flat out gritty play has not been replaced. What I thought would be a very good team has been a little less than an average team so far. The Zips have no go-to guy, no leadership and look really bad. If the refs had not have swallowed their whistles late last night they would have lost to freaking Ark Pine Bluff. There was a near brawl at the end of the game and Humpty really blew his cool. While doubtful, I would not be shocked if KD suspended him Sunday.
Oak, I guarantee that if you would blindly take the other side of the MAC's non conference opponents that you will come out ahead. I thought the MAC may be up a small notch this year but at this point it appears that they are even worse.The Zips and Miami, other than the Kentucky game, have really looked bad.
Air, you are correct as usual. The Vikings loss of Bullock and Jackson from last years championship team are simply too big to fill. Bullock was one of my favorite players from the beginning. I remember going up to a game when he was a freshman and he caught my eye right away. You could see that he was going to be a very speciial player and he didn't disappoint.
