Here are the 12:00-1:00 games by the numbers

Michigan (ML) 2.6/1

Wash is 6-10-1 ats the last 17 road openers
Mich is 10-1 SU but only 5-6 ATS in their first home game
I like the SU home victories so I went with the ML

Central Florida +13.5

Cent. Fl is 5-0 ats last 5 road openers
Penn st is 2-5 ats last 2 years vs. non-big 10 teams
Penn st started slow last year- going for the same this year.
Central florida proved they can score points but also proved they can give them up also. I like cent. fl passing game vs. penn st. pass rush.

Iowa is 8-4 ats in their first home game with a line
Akron appears to like a faster surface as they are 10-17 ats on grass

Middle Tenn. ST.

Mid Tn St is 3-0 ats last three away openers
Alabama is 2-8 ats in their first game where there was a line

Connecticut

There are not huge numbers to support this selection.
Conn is 2-0 ats the last 2 openers
but.. B.C. 16-6 the last 22 on turf.
I just like taking the big number in this game.

Iowa St

Iowa st is 7-2 ats the last 9 vs. Kansas
Iowa st is 11-5 ats as a double digit favorite
Kansas is 6-13 ats the last 6 years on grass

Colorado state

Col st is 21-6-1 ats the last 28 as a dog
Colorado is 3-8 ats is season opener since 1990
Keep in mind that Col. blew away col. st last year 41-14 in the opener.
Looking for a better played game by Col. State this year.

Vir Tech and TCU go off tomorow and Monday respectively.

I didn't pay attention to the days. Just the lines and the histories.

going 7-0 in the early games sure does make me feel good!!

However- so far my two state game (Michigan and Wash that is) aren't going the way I was hoping. Plenty of game left though.

Here are my final games..

By the way Texas and E. Carolina were both originally borderline plays but due to the morning wins, I'm placing the wagers.

Louisiana Tech +1

- Lou Tech is 6-1 ats as a home dog since 1995
- Ok St is 3-8-1 ats on grass since 1995

Maryland +2

- Maryland is 5-2 ats in first game with a line
- There are really no negative numbers against ND, however they are reportedly switching to a west coast style offense from their option oriented offense. I'm thinking it may take a game or two for the offense to click.

UL Lafayette +30

- ULL is 0-5 SU but 5-0 ats versus Big 12 teams
- No outstanding numbers against Tex A&M but I the combination of the 30 points and ULL's record ats vs big 12 makes me pull the trigger.

S. Carolina -23.5

- S.Carolina is 8-4-1 ats as favorites
- S. Car. is 9-3-1 ats as double digit favorites
- N. Mex St is 0-7 su and 1-5-1 ats versus SEC teams

Boise state -23.5

- Boise state has outscored Idaho 156-51 the last 3 games.
- Idaho is 0-3 ats the last 3 games as underdogs of 20+ points

Utah -10.5

- Utah is 6-2 ats on their road openers
- Utah st. is 0-4 SU and 1-3 ats in home openers

E. Carolina -14

- E. Car is 9-4 ats in the first of Back to back road games
- Duke is 2-5 ats the last 7 versus CUSA teams.

Texas -33.5

- Texas is 3-14 ats in their season openers
- ...but texas is 12-4 ats the week prior to a bye
- North texas is 0-6 SU and 1-5 ats in season openers with a line.

Now you se why Texas was borderline.
