Today my youngest daughter is getting married in Orlando { race..you met him that day I met you at Buffalo Wings } Its at a Catholic church and yesterday my wife and I took part in the rehearsal ceremony . My daughter and granddaughter from Austin flew out and are a part of the ceremony . My Phiily daughter and son here in Austin aren't attending but will be involved in the zoom ceremony. We have postponed the reception for next year but they already got married by a juctice of the peace 2 weeks ago. My daughter was one of the 22,000 employees let go by Disney. So she could be covered insurance wise these past 2 weeks they got married.
anyway my daughters boyfriend here in Austin is setting up a big screen so we will be here in Austin but I get to walk her down the aisle ... we practiced it last night and it really worked great. Except for me crying.
This covid has effected us all .I just got a call 2 days ago a good friend of mine Bill Harrigan died from covid, He was in the hospital for a few weeks ..A vietnam vet who became a pharmacist and went to Fordham. My father and him use to argue all the time . He adopted 3 Korean kids and 2 became pharmacist like him. he loved Vegas and the casino's ..this c-19 has effected so many people.. my wife and I had tickets to go to Orlando but all our 4 kids demanded we not go. Its somewhat disrupted but we are all healthy and pray we stay that way. My wife and I just got the 1st vaccine the other day and get the 2nd one in Feb.
So today at 12.30 I will be sitting in front of a big screen TV, my other kids will be zooming in and watching my youngest daughter get married via zoom .. That's a 1st .. next year we will have a reception out there and celebrate it again.
Although inconvenient I can't help but think of so many people going thru so much losing family members.
capped a whole bunch of games last night but think I'm going to pass..maybe later this afternoon when I get back ,,
Last night was thinking of my other 3 kids weddings
Sarah..here in Austin at the Salt Lick barb-que About 40 New Yorkers came down They just kept bringing barb-que plates all you can eat

Sharon,, married a former Navy officer stationed on a destroyer.. Wedding was on the Hudson River in NY and all of her husbands friends in the wedding party were navy Seals, top gun pilot and former officers .. With about half hour to go before the wedding was over. a fight broke out at the bar.. my daughter who is getting married today jumped in to break up the fight. In school on that monday I had invited about 15 teachers . Somehow some students over heard teachers talking. I was hit in the hallway by students saying " Mr Box heard you had a great wedding saturday night".. I was the principal of the HS..lol
At our faculty meeting that day it was hilarious..

Mark..wedding outdoors here in Austin.. a food truck was part of the reception It was the most popular food truck place to eat in the city.. when pictures were being taken they were with the truck in the background.

and today in Austin Texas via zoom to Orlando my youngest is getting married. Her future husband is an ex-marine who was stationed in Iraq..not sure if zoom can pick up any fights,,
Race funk you are a member here when next year we have the reception you have an invite
I realized that this post should be in another section of MJ's
so..

rolltide didn't see anything until looked at North Texas box score . I guess I was lucky they covered,

The wedding was awesome The zoom worked out great. It was somehow telecast on a computer to many of our friends in NY.
The church was beautiful.. The opening song as my daughter entered the church was Alladins " Whole new World". There were many of my daughters friends that worked with her at Disney. The priest went to High School with her new husband. He was really good and the ceremony was 1st class. My daughter walked her sister down the aisle replacing me. It was so well done. in the zoom rooms was my daughter in Philly and her kids,my son and his 2 daughters and wife in Austin. It was sad we weren't there in person but it was so well done. No fights occurred since there was no reception. There were a few ex marines there but they were well behaved.
Have to catch up on the games today...back tomorrow thank you D-2 and Rocky
