Remember me, I am the guy with the 7 day losing streak aka "Entire Account" guy. Anyways, I borrowed money. Since I have to pay back a lot, I decided not to play a straight bet, that's too risky, instead I plan to go for the sure win(almost sure win I mean) and put it on a huge favorite on the MoneyLine. I won't make up all my money that way, but atleast I can almost get back to my original account amt and then pay back the money I borrowed. I was going to put the Moneyline on Duke Thursday, but instead I played the spread and I got screwed. That's not going to happen to me again.

Now for the advice....
Any advice on which favorite team out of the entire card Saturday that you think got the best chances of not blowing the outright win on the MoneyLine??????

PS: If I lose this one, I will be gone from here and done for the rest of the season.

Give the money back and find a new hobby. Until you use money management with this vice, you'll rarely get ahead. :nono: But, I'm not telling you anything you haven't already heard.

You may finally be a winner, pick your favorite charity and send the money to them.
You know your bookie has more than enough of your entire accounts already.

I lost over 500 hundred the other night...

I lost over 500 hundred the other night...

trying to do the say thing, i had had an incredible winning percentage, i don't play big often, but made the mistake that i couldn't lose, my advice if you are going to do it since you are on a losing streak, is pick the game and bet the oppisite of what you picked, this is stupid adivice of course. Start off small if you are going to do it at all then when things turn then you can gradually increase your bet, i tapped out many times trying to do what you are doing and have to slowly build my account back up again, i have many bills, three teenage daughters, all driving and paying 2/3 of her college tuition, i don't take those chances anymore, when i getting my priorties straight, i STOPPED stealing money from my own familyand some how trying to justify it, i've lost over $ 25,000.00 in the last four years, it took me that long to learn a lesson, but i let my ingnorance show through the other night, take my word you are destined to lose with that approach, and then the self condemnation that's comes is devistating, and i can guarrentee you one thing, you will only borrow more morey and do the same thing, gambling is an addiction, everyone gets their fixes somehow. If you are going to bet do what i said above, if not, your going to dig yourself into a hole, and then you wil start doing things you never thought you would do, to justify any means to getting your FIX. ALL I CAN SAY IS BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT, HOPE YOU LISTEN TO SOME OF THE BETTER CAPPERS ON THIS BOARD, BEST OF LUCK

Wow doc, great post. I think most bettors have experience losing streak and subsequent panic, then cahsed out the old credit cards or done whatever just to try and get even.

The sad thing is, if you lose this one, you will probably not be gone from here the rest of the season cuz you will find a way to play. And if you win it won't take long to get back into dire straits. Good luck to you i guess.

I know just what doc is saying.........hence my name. When a play jumps out at you, the odds makers have done there job. GO opposite and if you study the game you'lll see why. And pay services are just as pathetic as the LOSER. Lose your own money you'll feel better???

......and I'm on Sac st. tonight.

Please don't take this as a flame, it is not meant to be.

I just don't understand how you can continue to ignore the advice of some very seasoned and respected cappers on this site yet time and again ask for advice on what you should bet your entire account on? Maybe you just want the attention? Anyway, my advice is bet your entire account on NOTHING!

I've been where Doc's been too...either get out or bet small percentages....you'll thank us later...but I think you're the type (like Doc and Myself) that have to learn the hard way...Just remember, we're not giving you this advice because we read it in a brochure....this is not a fun road you are about to travel...

"when I was 18 I couldn't believe how stupid my father was, by
the time I was 30 I was amazed at how much he had learned"

'sometimes it is better to look stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"

"look, listen , learn"

'can't see the forest for the trees"

Couple quotes that came to mind after reading both your threads and the responses, nothing personal, seems llike you have some
looking out for your interests and you seem to disregard them.

Take a step back, heed the wisdom of those who have been where you are and seem genuine in their concern about your situation.
Who are you going to if you don't hit? You are obviously intelligent enough to realize the down side of your actions, only you know if you can live with them.
