bowling green -3 over Ind st. BG has Matela and McLeod who can score.They shoot well,play good D,and should beat this poor shooting Ind St team.

Tulane -1.5 over Miss St.
Both teams have played "cupcake" schedules but Tulane just beat Ga Tech and vandy.Also played Florida but lost.Miss St on the road beat Richmond by 2 and got blowout by Cinncy.Tulane has a pretty good attack with balance.Miss St has Austin but I think the "wave" collapse on him today and the wave win this by 5 or 6.

GW +3.5
GW has been playing good.They are 2-0 ats at home.Monroe is a player and Char's have been so inconsistent.Think generals can keep this close even though Charlotte owns this series.

Texas +2.5 over utah
Applewhite has flown in for a pre-game speech.This is a small play but I like TJ at gd and think Texas gds are so quick it could spell problems for a slower Utah.But Majerus couls go zone and Texas can't shoot.

UCLA -7 over G-Town
GT has played no one.They can't shoot and must pound the ball inside to Sweets and Wilson.Bruins might have gotten a wake up call from Columbia game.

Tulane is my strongest play this afternoon.The rest are all small plays..

I do like tonite Rutgers,North Texas,Baylor,Marshall,drexall, and Rice.Will post them later....good luck. Took Texas tech in football.Think they beat up on Iowa..

Strongest play of the day Rutgers -5.5 over Princeton

The key to this game I think is rebounding and Walters knowing how to stop the Carill offense.Add Herve Lamaizana to the Rutgers lineup and you have created big time matchup problems for the Tigers today and the rest of the BE next week.This 6'10 skinny ass can out and out play.He is now eligible and this is his 3rd game.He can shoot the jumper and slash to the hoop.Saw him play in HS vs all the Johnnies and Halls players and he was the best.
Inside the paint is where RU should dominate.Kent is a 6'6 250 pound force on the bds.I think in the top 2 or 3 in the nation in rebounding.Dabney is a 6'10 post man and as long as he doesn't shoot gets the job done.Wright at 6'9 is complaining about not playing enough.
Having lost Dantay,Billit and Flores these past 2 yrs, in comes juco transfer Coleman.He was Walters 1st recruit and he is there best player.
Princton doesn't have a player that could start for RU.Maybe Logan who is their leading scorer.Nokali,Bechtold,martin all avg below 10 pts a game.Wysocki lyr's IV rookie of the yr might not play tonite.
Thompson runs the same offense that Pete ran for yrs.Motion,pass,cut,go away,screen,go back door,and pop out for a 3.This team does shoot from beyond the arc.[69-201]
The key of course to playing defense vs. this offense is to be patient,don't allow any backdoors and try to contest the open jumpers.Easy to say this here harder to execute it.
But Walters played Caromady[wisky] when he was at Kent and was sucessful defnding it.
Princeton has played one of the toughest schedules around were as Rutgers one of the easiest.
RU has handled them the past few yrs.I think with the quick gds of RU,controlling the bds and the addition of Coleman and Herve it will be to much for the Tigers.There offense could be in trouble if Walters has practiced his defense with his new team.Almost a "luv"game but only Kent has experienced the motion offense of the Tigers and RU has a lot of freshmen.They could play stupid and fall into little Thompsons backdoors.Therefore a down grade on the play.

North Texas +4 over New Mex St
NMSU has won 15 of the last 18 vs. my alma mater.And I was at one of those 3 wins.Thats sad.But NT is on a mission.This new coach Jones is kicking ass.They just beat TCU after 20 yrs of getting whipped.Davis is one of the top scorers in the nation.Channing is tough and he has some balanced around him.But Hopkins,Rodgers,and co are playing all out.Aggies slow the ball down and NT will want to push it up.I'll take the home dog and the pts.

Rice -6 over Siena
Siena is 1-5 ats away from home.Lost to marist by 8,Clev st17 and Fordham 9 on the road.
They still don't have a pt gd and although Rice just got beaten at home by tex-Pan I think mance and super frosh McKrieth beat Siena by double digits.Rice is 4-1 at home.

Tulsa +11.5 over Kansas
Tulsa plays 3gds and so does Kansas.I think the Canes can keep this close with their offense.Kansas will win with Goodson inside but Tulsa is athletic and can keep it under the number.
Small plays.. Marshall -1.5 over Mass.Herd has to get out of its funk.Mass is talented but see the herd playing together for a change.
Baylor +2.5 over TCU
anti Tubbs play.After getting beat up by NT Tubbs gave them off the week since nobody listens to him anyway.

La-Laf -2.5 over Canisius.
Consolation game.Laf almost beat NW at the buzzer.Zona St blew out the Griffs.Laf should win this by 10.But the good news is the Griffs can't leave Zona because Buffalo has 4 feet of snow.
Wouldn't you rather have? A 4th place finish in a tourney in Arizona in the sun.
