My best play of the weekend appears to be lost! That pisses me off a little. Talking about the under in the Oakland/New England game.

Our good friends here at Madjacks's are reporting a little bad weather. Really appreciate the reports guys!

Bad weather sets up an unpredictable scenerio and actually favors a lean to the over. Sure footed routes by the receivers and possibly more turnovers via fumbles, long scores via passing - even on short routes, and maybe pass interceptions via the fallen down receiver for scores.

Quick scores are something to consider in bad weather.

While I'm rambling, throw the trends out the window, please! Every year is different and trends will change in a heart beat!

Cow pointed out the strong trend of teams covering when out of the playoffs for 3 years. Home teams in round two have been strong over the years, also.

Every year is different and handicap each game without a predjudice to trends. IMHO

I love over/unders and will not post any until tomorrow. Half time bets likewise.

Picks for now:

PHI +3 4 units, maybe more tomorrow.
NE -3 4 units
BAL +6 6 units Probably should lay more right now, but feel my local might go to 6.5 by Sunday. Love this game the most!

g! shamrock!

Expect another lowing scoring game in the Steelers/Ravens game.

The odds are in our favor at six points. Can't visulize more than than 31 points in this one. Sure favors taking the points, if you keep it simple.

I was afraid I'd find Mr Wolf on the exact opposite of what I like in the Steelers game..LOL. I see this one 28-10 in favor of my Steelers.. Baltimore is running their mouths again(big suprise there) after beating up a very lame Dolphin team. The two times these teams played this year, the Steelers clearly outplayed them both times. The Ravens will NOT run the ball against the Steelers like they did against the Fish, thereby asking Gr-bage to beat them with his arm. That will not happen. In addition, I see the Steelers getting the ball into the endzone and not relying on Brown to make FGs for them to win. Good luck KCWolf.....:D

The Packer/Rams matchup will be a Sunday decision. Expect the total and the side to continue to climb.

Very partial to how the total ends up Sunday.

Early thoughts? Would never play a playoff team over 10 points. Will maybe pass on the side. Feel the under may have some value before kickoff. I mean big time possibilities!

It's a wait and see on this game, watching line movement very carefully right up to game time. GB can't win a shoot out, that is obvious to everyone, including any step child, step sister, and even arabs in Afganistan. Well, may want to exclude Taliban and Al Q whatever? They have no clue.

Bottomline, I'll continue to read everything I can, and make a decision Sunday. It may not be what you think.

ps: redsfann, think you might have to go back to that Tiger Hawk on Monday?:)

Green Black and Blue?

Green Black and Blue?

With the Packers make sure Green is healthy.Word is he practiced late in week and not at all first three days. If he cant go even at 80% get ready for Levens. Green got nicked up a little in his legs last couple of plays last week. It may be nothing. But it sure is not being talked much about. Levens fresh legs and a very good back might do very good anyway. And for darn sure is hell of a receiver.

Gents:
I'm more of a lurker than a poster, however here are my views:
NE -3. This team has been given no respect all year and the publicwill be on Oakland following the offensive outburst last week. NE has had two weeks to prepare. It is at hteir place in probable inclement weather. I'm not much of a Belichick fan, nor Tom Brady. But, given two weeks to heal up and make a game plan is huge. NE will play it conservatively. Look for a running attack and short, dump passes. They don't want Brady to lose this game. They will attempt to get a lead and let their defense take over. Oakland has some weapons but their running game is not it. Gannon is good but the weather may limit his ability to effectively throw the ball. For the same reasons, I like the under.

Philly +3 Going against my philosphy of the two weeks to prepare for his game. Philly has been good on the road all year. All season they have expected to be here and have played for these games. They have a decent defense, a good offense and the key to this game will be McNabb. If he is able to scramble and create havoc, the Eagles will win. He has the ability to change the momentum of the game on a single play. What has been most impressive about him lately is he is actually looking to throw first, rather than run. If the Eagles can build a lead they will be difficult to beat. They also have some playoff experience on their side whereas the Bears haven't been here in a while. I fully expect the Bears to come out fired up and perhaps be leading after the first quarter. But, emotion will only take them so far. Nothing against them, they are a solid team. I just feel the Eagles are playing better ball, have more experience and have a more potent single player in McNabb. I see a ball control game, field position will be critical and again, I like the under in this game as well.

NE-3 And Under
Philly +3 and Under

nice job kc

nice job kc

philly and balto...philly 9-3-1 as underdog last 2 years...4-1-2 getting 3 points or fewer(everyone aware of their road record this year)...akers is solid. ..bear "d" backs will struggle(philly may have best "d" backfield in league)....mcnabb makes plays...balto 11-2 vs spread as road dog since billick arrival(including 9 outright wins!)...last 3 meetings decided by 5 or fewer..5 of last 6 by 7 or less....last 6 won by road team......both have lousy red zone offenses and have to take stover over brown in field goal contest...marvin lewis quoted in paper as saying balto will not allow big plays(lewis never says anything publicly)...points going up...godd luck and good calls.

With the site down yesterday, never got to post all the plays. Normally would not post as part of the record, but yesterday was a little different.

Played:

PHI +3.5 10 units
PHI un 31 4 units
NE -3 10 units
NE un 20 1st half 4 units
NE un 39.5 4 units

3-1-1 +13.6 units

NFL: 161-113 +169.4 units

BAL +6 6 units -- as mentioned in original post.

My books open up in about an hour, feel I may see some more spreads in my favor then like the PHI +3.5 yesterday. Will be playing all dogs and unders today, or nothing.

Jack, realize you were busy yesterday, but hope you had a chance to play that Eagle -- 10 unit play -- I emailed you.

Back later, and good luck everyone!

Sorry gibber, and thanks for all the kind words.

You have the cow pie on your side, much better capper than myself.

Going to wait on the second game as far as units, but it will be GB and under.

Tough luck cuz of Favre.

Tough luck cuz of Favre.

Favre single handedly did us in. I had Rams and Rams-5Teased with under61.5. Hope to meet you in Vegas if you go. Hoops NBA and college cost me huge this week and I am throwing in the towel. May lay low and just enjoy Vegas. I seem to have better luck at the tables tha sports lately. For the last time. Favre sucks.
