I wasn't going to play any early games, but the trigger finger got a little antsy.

Maryland +15.5 over Duke x 1

Duke is not really a point spread monster at Cameron against the better foes that come into their building. They win, but dont cover. The Terps fall into that category. They've won 3 of 5 at Cameron. We've seen this act before out of Maryland. They aren't that great againt their fellow middle class of the ACC, but really rise to the occassion against the league's top dogs. Duke pushed ith Georgetown last week, but the Hoyas would have made it a much closer game had they not fallen apart in the closing few minutes of the first half. The Terps are more experienced in this setting than the Hoyas. I think they can avoid that stretch and keep this game under single digits.

Yikes....that was ugly. Lets see if we cant get that back by playing another dog, and at least this one is at home.

Paging Hilton Magic, Paging Hilton Magic, you're on notice to come up big today.

As a single digit fav or a home dog, the Clones are on a 14-8-1 ATS run, which includes a 6-3-1 mark in the home dog role.

I'd take them as an underdog in most cases against Kansas and others, and this is not a vintage KU team as they're rebuiilding a bit from last year and still trying to find their way. Think they get a heavy dose of Hilton Magic. ISU could pull the upset and it would not surprise me.

We have three unranked teams favored to beat ranked foes. And, I really like all three, so I locked into to double plays on all three at the following lines:

Tenn -2, -120, over Memphis x 2

Did the Vols turn the corner earlier in the week. Both teams have loads of talent, but still coming together. Big rivalry game. Love the home court.

UW -1, -120, over UCLA x 2

Bruins have been playing 30 minutes basketball games recently. They cant seem to score the ball in crunch time. The kids confidence has to be a question mark. Meanwhile, the Huskies are on their home floor looking for a splashy resume win. With the way the Bruins have been playing lately, I'd be surprised if they did not get it.

LSU -2 over Xavier x 2

I do feel LSU is up and coming and a serious darkhorse from here on in the SEC and could be a dangerous first weekend foe come March. I think they'll be all over the X-men tonight.
