Cubs -130

Cubs -130

See a lot of other guys on MJ here taking the cubs. I'm sure we're all thinking the same thing, they have to win a game at home, right? Worst start in a decade, after all the money they spent. I look for Pinella to light a fire under their ass today.

Yeah, 3-0 yesterday. Thanks. I really like a few plays today. Some double plays in the foreseeable future.

Phillies -178 (Double Play)

Phillies -178 (Double Play)

Ok, I know the Phils are apparently going to be horrible this year. But if they don't win in this spot, they may not win a home game all year. Hamels v. a guy who was told 10 minutes ago he is pitching today.:mj07: I don't care if williams is on normal rest, you definitely prepare differently if you know you are pitching.

Hamels better play it safe and throw a complete game.:142smilie

Cole Hamels (0-0, 1.38 ERA) v. Woody Williams (0-1, 4.22)

Hamels went 1-0 in two starts versus Houston as a rookie last season, yielding four runs while striking out 19 in 15 2-3 innings.

Williams has been pressed into a starter's role for this game because scheduled starter Jason Jennings has tendinitis in his right elbow. Williams, though, will be starting on normal rest since the Astros had their Wednesday game postponed prior to their off day Thursday.

Williams allowed two runs and six hits in six innings as the Astros beat the Chicago Cubs 5-3 on Monday. The 40-year-old right-hander has struggled against the Phillies, giving up at least four runs in each of his last four starts dating back to 2001.

He is 3-5 with a 5.04 ERA in 10 lifetime starts versus Philadelphia.

Phillies third baseman Abraham Nunez is 10-for-19 (.526) with three doubles and three RBIs lifetime against Williams, and Pat Burrell is 6-for-15 with a homer and three RBIs.

Batista 2007:

4.2 Innings pitched, 0-1, 15.43 ERA, 2BB, 5K, 94 pitches per start

Batista (0-1, 15.43) gave up eight runs in his first start, a 9-0 loss to Oakland on April 4. He matched a career high with 11 wins in 2006, but had only one in his last nine starts.

Thats 1 win in last 10 starts dating back to last year. :jerkit:

Just a gut feeling braves don't drop 3 in a row.

Davies trying to earn a permanent spot on the roster,
Olsen is 1-2 with a 9.88 ERA in three starts and four career appearances against the Braves.

Like Minny to bounce back from last night and pick up the win. This game may be a shit show with Jackson and Ponson pitching. Thinking about over as well.
