Whats up! We dont have any open threads going yet.....if people are interested, here goes.

This third quarter could not be going any better for Wake....well maybe not the Adams fumble....they have to get the lead because UConn will probably make a fourth quarter push. Its not like they're going to quit.

I think that TD sealed it for Wake. UCONN can't pick up a first down, let alone score any points. Unless they can score on special teams or D that is. One other thing... the fact that Grobe is still stubbornly trying to run the football is nothing short of comical. They are absolutely gouging the secondary of UCONN... why aren't you passing the ball on EVERY play???

Glen,
I think Grobe is just a big believer of his O-Line and his counter-esque running attack.....but from watching the game play out, they need to be way more balanced towards the pass right now.

Isnt funny how last night in two games (MSU and Oreg. St) where we were like this coach is dumb to ever call a pass because of his personnel, and today its just the opposite....sometimes coaches are too stubborn. Riley everntually got it last night and the Beavers just crushed Maryland with the run the whole second half. I am a big fan of Grobe, but it will be interesting what sort of offense he calls in the fourth quarter.

Wow, was that a big stop!!!!

Lets see what grobe calls.....he needs to keep the foot on the gas.

Kenny Moore is far and away the most explosive player in the game today......its good to see him get so many touches.

That 4th down call was just poor play calling. Too much time left to be going for it here.

Agreed. Play the field position game. Your D has been solid all year, and especially good at getting takeaways.....pin em deep and make a defensive play.

Uconn is getting the ball back and at least it didn't cost them a further defciit, but now they have shitty field position.

That TD just killed all those teasers out there. I thought about teasing with Uconn to get over a TD and I'm sure some people just got hurt on that.

Something I've noticed the last few days. It probably means nothing, but off the top of my head...

Teams that have played well in the 1h and folded in the 2h...

UCONN
Houston
Maryland
ECU
Purdue
BYU
Navy

ECU and Navy still covered, but the rest of them blew the cover.

It's to the point now where I almost don't want to see my team do well in the 1h. :mj07: I placed a big 2h wager on Wake today after taking UCONN initially simply because I figured they would come back.

GL all...
