YTD:15-8-0.

No plays yesterday.....had an 0-2 goose egg on thursday, so be careful w/ my plays.

Starting off w/ a big underdog:

Miami Ohio +12 at Loiusville........Miami is on a 19-10-1 run as an underdog, includiing six in a row and 3-0 this year......they are battle tested. Played one of the toughest non conference schedules last year and this year already have wins over Xavier, Miss St and a loss, but cover in Anahem against USC.....the Cards have great home court advantage, but I would be shocked if the Miami kids come out intimidated......Loiusville, I feel, is still trying to find thier way as Sosa has come out struggling and they dont have Padgett, who would be a huge difference maker in this particular game......kinda thought they looked average last week in the two games in the LV Invitational......Miami has held its last 39 foes to less than 70 points, and only five times since the start of the 2005-06 season has Miami's opponent exceeded 70 points......defense travels and I think Miami's D will keep them in this ball game and withint single digits of the Cards.

Good luck!

Looking good at the half ! As you noted Miami is almost always an attractive dog that more often than not gets the cash. Plenty of much more athletic teams leave the gym frustrated after 40 minutes of Charlie ball.

I enjoy reading your stuff, good luck

UCONN -4, -140 over Gonzaga.

Lot of people seem to like Zags, and there is a lot to like as Few has a solid team again.

But this is a strict unranked fav over ranked foe play......Gotta think in the end, Zags run out of gas in this one......they've been on the road a lot, just played a grueling OT game vs St. Joe Thursday night.....UConn has the size to bother Zags, and the Huskeis are just licking their chops trying to bag a big time win.....laying the small number and hope this system plucks out a winner.

Spang, thanks for the words.....always check out your posts as well......Polloitz has been the best player out there today, he has such a solid game......Miami could use somebody else to step up, though.

They missed some chances here midway through the second half.....now they're down three at the under 8 timeout.....hopefully they can hang on!

Adding.....

UNC Wilmington +4, -140 over Hofstra.

Per Box in One's suggestion....line dropped to 2.5, but bought it back up to 4, which is between line now and what it was when Box posted.

Good luck!

Okie State -2, -140 over Washington.

Okie State has not looked good all year, but they are always a different team when they're playing in the cozy confines of Iba Arena......i think they get their season back on track today in their first lined home game of the season.

Last 3+ seasons, Okie State is 38-8 SU at home and are on a 6-2-1 ATS run as home favs of less the seven points.

Washington, meanwhile, is not a good road team and when the teams appear to be equal, the Huskies cant be given the benefit of the doubt if they're playing in the other guys' gym. Last year, they were 1-10 SU in true road games and are on an 0-6 run as underdogs in true road games.

Thought about paying extra and just going w/ the moneyline, but settled on the -2 line, shaving off a full point as the line had grown from -2 to -3.

Got a great win w/ Miami earlier today.....i am enjoying watching the Uconn-Zags game, but then remember I have Uconn -4 and I get frustrated.....Zags do not look like they're gonna run out of gas at all as I had expected......still time left, though, but so far Zags have had an answer everytime it looks like the Huskies might be taking over......very impressed w/ Few's bunch if they come out 2-0 in this 48-hour string against Joe and Uconn.

2-1 so far on the day.

Wins: Miami Ohio and UNC Wilmington
Loss: UCAN'T.
Pending: Okie State -2

Looking at night games, but nothing jumps out.

Might play my Hoosiers getting points. We'll see.

Adding:

Wyoming +11 at Akron.

Akron has great home court advantage, so going against them at home does not appear to be a smart play.....but, I started the week picking Temple +5 at Akron, and got the win, so this is not uncharted territory. Personally, Wyoming is a better club then Temple. With Jones and Ewing, the Cowboys have an excellent, attacking backcourt and both get to the free throw line.....they're scoring along will keep Wyoming within this number.....Wyoming had a lot of heart break losses last year, but I like their new coach who turned around Portland State in his previous head coaching job.....they're a darkhorse in the MWC race.....Akron will be in the thick of the MAC race, but I still dont think they are as good a club as they were last year......Wyoming ought to be able to stay withing single digits in this one.......a tight, relatively high scoring affair....Akron might win, but the Cowboys should get the cover.

3-1 on the day......okie state was an easy win.....i think we should continue fading UW in true road games for awhile.

Wyoming down 14 at half, has some work to do to get the cover there....C'mon Pokes, be a 2nd Half team!

One more play.

Indiana +4 over SIU.

Do i need to explain....bit of a homer.....but I think IU has enough scoring to get it done tonight....should be a war all night.....I'll take the points and hope for the best.....IU burned me last Saturday, but I generally do well picking my spots with my alma mater.....we'll see what happens!

Lots of CBall and FBall tonight, so good luck everyone!!!!

Salukis are an unranked favorite tonight. Not an automatic play, of course, but close to it I believe.
Will not play against you, though.

How about those Hoosiers!!!! I guess they can play some D after all.....tons of talent there, it will be interesting to see if Sampson can harness it.....for sure, the Big 10 is theirs for the taking.

Anyway, enough of blowing the Hoosiers horn.

A nice 4-2 winning day. :00hour :00hour

YTD: 19-10-0.

Some interesting Big-12 vs Pac 10 games tomorrow, hopefully we can find a play or two.

Until then, good night and good luck. :weed:
