Good morning Madjackers....what are y'all doing in here, shouldn't you be out Xmas shopping or something!!! :SIB
YTD 32-23-1. Been playing cautiously, but hit my only two I've made since last Saturday. Got a few today, and we are getting started with our good old friends in Oxford.
Miami +20, -135 over Kansas. Well, if you've been following my threads this season, you know I have talked up a lot of love about the Red Hawks, especially in the under dog roll. Make no mistake, today will be a challenge, but I feel like we have to ride a Miami team that is now 21-10 ATS an underdog and has covered eight straight times as a puppy. This year, they've cashed tickets against Xavier, USC, Miss. St, Louisville and Illinois while catching points and I will take the boat load of points the linesmakers are offering today. Line was 19, but I bought it up to 20. One of the greatest streaks going right now in the college game is the fact that Miami has now gone 44 games in a row without allowing their foe to get to the 70 point mark and only fives times overall has their opponent done that since the start of the 2005-06 season. If that streak continues today, this should be an easy cover. Expect Miami's tempo and quirky offense to get the better of KU today as I think the early start helps the team with the more gimmicky game. KU ought to pull away in the second half, but not enough to cover the large number.
Texas +5, -120 over Michigan State. Oh the green will be out the Palace later tonight, but being on the road wont intimidate the Horns at all. I've won twcie on Texas already this year in their previous marquee matchup as they won outright as dogs vs Tenn on a nuetral site and at Pauley Pavilion against UCLA. Overall, Texas is 14-6 ATS in their last 20 stabs as an underdog and have 10 of those games outright! MSU is a good team, but Texas comes at them with, I feel, better players, more athletiscm and a better back court. Unless Neitzel goes off big time, I expect Texas to control this game from the get go. If you want to compare apples to apples, MSU lost to UCLA in a low scoring, tight affair, while Texas pretty much handled the top ranked Bruins decisively on the road. Take the points and run in this game.
Thats all I have for now. Maybe some here later. Dont know which way to go on Gtown-Memphis. Think thats a great game to watch and just see what each team has. How many times will see Memphis at such a cheap price? How many times will we see the Hoyas getting points? Not often in either case, should be fun to watch! But, I'll be in a car traveling for the holidays, hopefully I can pick it up on Serius Radio or something.
