THIS IS FOR SATURDAY'S NCAA GAMES

I would like for everyone to PLEASE list in this thread the one dog that you think will win outright (straight-up). I would like for you to base this decision on some thought rather than "because I like the team".

I think that with the handicapping talent on ML's Bpard, we can at least get a consensus of the board relative to which underdogs we collectively think will win outright.

If we get a good sample then you can decide if you want to play the dogs or not. At least you will have a summary of the concensus of:

THE WORLDS GREATEST HANDICAPPERS

It is important that everyone list their dog even if you see that your team is already selected. This is the way I can get an accurate tally for everyone.

I will monitor and post the tally's in order starting late tonight, tomorrow morning and evening and Saturday morning by indicating the team followed by the number of cappers who think that team will win. The tally will be within this heading and I will edit and indicate the time of edit so you will not need to scroll to the end to see the results.

I will try this a few times and see if it gets legs or is effective. If not I will stop but at least I would have tried.

Thanks to all & God Bless America,

Bill

Sorry I had a small crisis and could not keep thread stoked but the results were 5-9 for the dogs winning. One nice point is that even though we only had two teams with more than one vote, both of those teams won. Another strange piece of information was that (I think) only one dog covered and lost SU.

Results

Hawaii +6 X2 W
BAMA+3 X2 W
drexel +8 W
Wisc Milwaukee +2 W
George Washington +4.5 W
KY +8.5 L
LOY +4 CHI L
Dayton +7.5 L
utah +3 L
unlv+5 L
Arkansas L 8
rutgers +3 L
Madison +2 L.
NORTH TEXAS + 2 L
Akron +1 L

Let me know if you think this has any value and I will try it again. I still think if we could have gotten more participation we may have had better success. Unless I sense there is enough interest I will "let dead dogs lie" (pun :142lmao: )

To the comment about a winning dog not being as good as an ATS cover, I think a winning dog pays more and is much more valuable.

Would appreciate comments.

Thanks to all for your patience and help.

Bill

No limit just give the dog you think will win S/U.

Could be fun iof we get enough to participate.
I am bugging everyone I can. I know they think I am a PITA but I want to see if this works and if it does not meet with Jacks approval he will pull the thread. So far so good.

Thanks Jack,

Bill

My fault guys. . . little tired after the long week. Really don't see a lot of dogs with value which isn't the norm. Will post when I find one

Bill,

A small dog winning outright by a few may not be as good a wager as a large dog which loses SU, but covers by 10.

Know what I mean?

Arkansas(+9 1/2)(ML+385) @home vs. Illinois.
A little side bonus on this game is the over 157.
Arkansas has been very solid and at home should be tight.Illinois is a scary team to bet against, but Little Rock should be rockin for this one.
