YTD:
193-201-4 +2.35 units
Dogs: 76-88
Favs: 71-47
Totals: 39-43-4
Parlays: 5-21
Run Lines: 2-2

Evaluating the record. It appears that after
398 games played that I need to make some changes. At current rate, other than the fact that I enjoy baseball, I am basically treading water. If I was trying to do this for meat, I would have already become a vegatarian. But, treading water is better than drowning. If you consider my POD record vs my YTD all selections, I think the main answer is , I play too many games on a daily basis. So, I will make fewer selections, I will increase the the unit per play, and see if I can turn this into a little more profitable situation. One thing I have noticed of late, I have tied the side with the total in too many games. I think I am asking for too many things to have to happen in the same game to be successful. If anyone reads this and has any comments/suggestions to help me, they will be welcomed of course.

Be back shortly with hopefully better selections.

Allnet, I read your posts everyday and agree that you do play too many selections. I guess this method is okay in football because there's only 1 set of games per week which allows a capper 6 to 7 days to analyze each game. However, here in the bases, time is limited. It's often difficult to do a thorough rerearch on the numerous games on board each day. There is great opportunity to stay afloat and actually "swim" in bases. You prove this yourself in the P.O.D. contest. Limited selections...

Best of luck to your new approach and thanks for the daily contribution.

the reason the lights never go out in vegas is those parlays.

Allnet,

Your obvious ability to call the best games (witness your POD record) would make you a natural candidate for fewer games.

I like to play a set of 3 or 5, an odd number, so that if my handicapping is on that day, I end up with 2/3 or 3/5 or better.

Nothing like a little "cha-ching" to reinforce your strategy.

I don't presume to instruct, merely passing along what works for me.

GL today,

Pat

p.s I don't seem to have your ability with the POD. Went 4-1 last night, and the 1 was my POD. Arrrrrggghhhh.

Appreciate all comments made so far. Constructive criticism or comments are great and welcomed. A couple of things have been confirmed so far
1. Too many plays per day.
2. Parlays are a bad venture, record 5-21.
3. Focus on what appears to be a good play and let it rip.

Thanks so far, anything else let it rip.

adding:
I liked this game early today. Hermansen for Cards has had some bad days in Cinn, but this team is in a deep funk. Young hurt yesterday, they are becoming awfully depleted. Cinn let one get away yesterday. Hermansen might take tonight as an opportunity to get some revenge on a stumbling Reds team. Playing the Card's -135
***units.
Win or lose that is it for tonight.
