Well, unbeaten streak comes to an end as the Red Raiders fell a few points short...
6-1-1 on year...
Playing them all today
Fairleigh Dickinson +1 (still out there in someplaces like BetCris, SportsInteraction (no account there) still has it a +1')
The Knights look to win the NEC this year and each of the 3 returning starters could battle for NEC-PlayerOfYear. Klaiber (16ppg, 8rpg), Timberlake (13ppg) and 7-footer Crosariol (8ppg, 5rpg) will try to overcome the loss of Trent and Peterson. Some good young guys come in to fill the voids along with transfer Blackgrove)
The Terriers played well against bigger non-conf opponents last year and return 3 good players in Wilkerson, Berg and Marshall. Problem with this team will be depth as only 5 real contributers return. Youngsters will have to step it up quick in order to give significant breaks to starters.
The Knights are bigger, and more importantly deeper than the Terriers. Look for a close game with the big 3 from FD outperforming the big 3 from Wofford for the victory.
BGSU +19'
BGSU obviously missed Wright Thursday. The Falcons shot 36% from the field and only 47% from the line. The good news is that they held WCar to only 29% shooting from the field. The difference was from the charity stripe with the Catamounts hitting 27 one-pointers (out of 42 trips).
VTech had a warm-up game against Radford and looked good hitting 60% from the floor. Tough to tell if the Hokies are on their game due to the mismatched opponent.
This game will be more of a test for the Hokies than Thursday contest. VTech should win this on their home court but if Bowling Green can find a little bit of their shot and not foul as much, this game will stay under the number.

Every basketball fan should remember the Mountaineers from last year's tourney as they were involved in the most memerable games from last year. After being at their first two games, including the upset of WF, I still have dreams of all the West Virginians screaming "LET'S GOOOO....MOUNNIN' EEARS". Pittsnougle dabbled with the NBA draft and wisely returned to Morgantown. Gansay is the heart of this team and can scoring inside (driving, not posting) and out (way out). This team loses two key players from last year (Sally, Fischer) and will leave them a little thin inside. Their are plenty of players left that can shoot from behind the line to make up for the offensive side.
The Indians did not have a great season last year, and the returning players are not something that is causing a buzz in Monroe. First year coach, Early will have a rough first season, but that's what they pay him the big (ok, probably not that big) bucks.
Look for the Mountaineers to roll in this one, with the home crowd pumped up from last season NCAA run. This team may live and die by the three this year, but, in this game, they are shooting at the same hoops they have been practicing on all fall.
