Saturday: Ivy teaser

Went a disappointing 2-2 last nite in the Ivy. Cornell just didn't show up and Dartmouth missed the cover thanks to Princeton's 70% shooting from the field and the fact that they only got 12 rebounds in the whole game.

Cornell +22.5
Dartmouth +22.5
Harvard +11

In terms of straight bets I like Dartmouth +14.5


Before last nite, Dartmouth had covered in six straight Ivy games.

Penn shot lights out vs Harvard: 16-31 from the arc and 18-19 from the line. But the Quakers did turn the ball over 18 times. Penn was more motivated last night, they had lost last 2 at Harvard. Tonite they just want to get the win to keep their record perfect and get out of town.

Sports --

I see this as a high scoring game; Brown doesn't play great D and Cornell can actually put some points on the board. The Big Red played very poorly last night and just like last weekend I wouldn't be surprised to see them bounce back tonite.

Brown didn't play that well last night; they were only even with Columbia at the half. Brown is also without their coach this weekend which I don't think helps them at all.

I can see Brown getting a little overconfident in their Ivy leadership role and I wouldn't be surprised to see Cornell play a lot better than they did last night and keep this one close...and maybe even win SU. Chances of the upset are slim but IMO better than 7-1.

I do like Cornell and the points.

Cornell couldn't win SU but easily covered.
