Toledo -13' *****
See Gman's thread, he has this one covered extremely well and I think that he's right on it.This will be my largest play of the week.
Toledo/ OU over 58 *
C Fla -2' ** More of a gut feeling play than anything else here. I have read some sentiment favoring the Zips here, but I just don't see how you could back this team on the road. I don't believe in moral victories so to speak, but the Knights performance vs. N. Illinois last week would qualify as one of those games that you could build on. When you are 0-5 and see the Zips coming into town, I would expect the hungry Knights to have a "now or never" attitude and really be ready to play. Akron's past trips to the Citrus bowl have been a train wreck, and this team has done nothing thus far on the road to impress. Other than the 15 minute ride to Kent, the Zips have simply not competed at all.
Akron /C Fla over 58.** Two of the poorest D1 defenses should allow close to 950 yards of offense. I like this one to land in the 70s.
Kent State +13' * I will always find a way to squeeze in a home dog that is catching a large number from an offense that is as poor as Marshall's. Warning: If the Flashes don't take good care of the pigskin, they will get smoked by a very talented Marshall defense.
I'm also tossing a half on Eastern Michigan (+3')on the road at Western. I can't recall the last time EMU has beat the Broncs but I think that you would have to go back to the mid 90s. EMU quietly is on the improve while the Broncs have really slipped. Just think that EMU is the better team here and think that they can win this one outright.
As always, best to all
