What am I missin'?
BBC...It's a rilvary game, so no doubt both teams come to play and that probably boosts the Cubs a little more than the Sox, especially after dropping the first game, but the big thing is just the fact I think Zambrano is healty with no pain and just needed some time off. He did say he had no pain after the bullpen session and you know they'll be keeping a close eye on him, but the injury wasn't that serious. Didn't they even blame it on when he bats and not really something he got from pitching?
That being said, I'm not sure anyone's been more dominate pitching at Wrigley this season and last than him. Zambrano over 18 starts at home this year and last is 12-2 and batters are hitting under a .200 off him there.
Contreras on the other hand has been aweful his entire career on the road if you look at his ERA. He's got a career road ERA of 5.53 which is almost 2 runs higher than his career Home ERA of 3.60. With that in mind, it's not going to help him pitching at Wrigley in a rivalry game in my opinion. I just hate seeing numbers that far off on Home/Away. I think it shows that this particular pitcher can get physically or mentally ratttled more than someone without the big difference in numbers. That's one reason I'm playing against Estes on Saturday as well.
Granted they are favored and maybe don't deserve so in some people's opinions, but when I cap a game out, I'm looking for a winner more than value as long as the line isn't over 135 or so. I don't pay a lot of attention to the line unless it's over this number and then I might take a look at value rather than just who the natural favorite to win should be.
Best of luck to you....at least one of us will have a winner that game
