overall record of posted plays now 11-8 after a horrible 4-5-1 showing last weekend (dropping ties btw). got some bad breaks but some plays - like utep - were just plain ill-conceived. certainly looking for better today. on with the games:
ga tech/clem over 51: these two teams have developed a wide open style of play in their matchups over recent years, see that continuing today. wanted to play tech but can't pull the trigger.
northwestern -6
duke/nw under 60
going with the side and total again in the duke game. i actually was going to bring back the "bad football game of the week" for this one but just too lazy today for a long writeup. blue devils may have broken the losing streak on a soggy field in durham, but i can't conceive of them being ready to win on the road, even against northwestern. and what the heck is this total all about? both teams should be able to score, but these are two teams have averaged less than 2 and a half yards per rush and less than 5 yards per pass attempt aginst mediocre competition. i may be off base but i can't see 60 points here.
sc +6: never a good idea to make master motivater holtz a home dog, especially in conference, off a loss, and against a team that has no rushing game.
wake/nc state over 54-: i think state covers the side in this game but since the line is a litle higher that i thought it would be i am passing the game, but the total looks more inviting. wolfpack should score 35+ against the porous deacon d and wake should be able to carry their share of the load.
was st/osu over 52-: very fair number for two potent offenses.
purdue -17
minny -7
hope i don't get too beat up around here for saying this, but it looks to me like the mac is getting too much respect. i want to play wisky too but still undecided.
i'm sure i'll have more plays later in the day. i'm eyeballing the games in chapel hill and greenville tonight but i want to see what the weather is going to do. good luck today whatever you play.
