3-0 friday brings record back to 22-19-1, 5-1 last six. maybe i can get a run going. see two early games that look good:

wright state -11: despite being picked second in wcc preseason ratings, santa clara has stumbled out to a 1-5 start (0-5 ats), at least partially because of brutal scheduling. though most of the team returns from last years successful campaign, broncos have not adjusted to loss of two top scorers, especially pg jones. one lone home win vs san jose state by 2; best showing otherwise a seven point road loss to cal. in contrast, wright state, 5-3, returns four starters and appears to be gelling nicely. team looks to be especially close-knit and playing together and has many talking about great chemistry. says star jesse diester, " there is a level of trust and unselfishness that separates us from last year. thats really been the turning point for this team." having only nine players seems to have become an asset as all appear content with their roles. looking at comparables, santa clara lost at nevada two weeks ago by 25; raiders beat oakland by 20 four days ago in a game they led by 23 at halftime. wright rolling on a nine game home win streak, santa clara just took a 41 point pasting at ohio state on wednesday and have now been on the road for a stretch.. i'm willing to bet the broncos aren't quite ready to bounce back and are california dreaming. wright continues to roll and wins by 18.

arkansas lr -2-: think we're getting some value here because peay played w ky without marcus so close a few days ago. as much as things are right at wright, they appear to be wrong in clarksville. in the last few weeks starting pg has quit the team, another player dismissed, another scrub suspended - all over conflicts with the coach. govs just don't have the look of a team that can bounce back against a solid lr team that beat them by 14 10 days ago. at home, peay has two home wins against div ii teams and an 18 point loss to sienna, a team clearly inferior to ark lr. trojans now 7-2, 5-0 ats - all on the road! trojans also superior in virtually every team offensive and defensive category and should be able to get a comfortable win here.

Is there some subjective reasoning for even considering Santa Clara? Their horrible loss to OSU combined with wright's overall play this season should have the line much higher. Sagarin has it at about 17. My line on WSEX has moved from 11.5 to 10! What's up??

adding:

denver +2: like playing denver on their homecourt. slumping rams are nicked up and spent all week in exams, no consistent practice, then on the bus to denver.

drake pk: think drake the better team so obliged to play them straight up at home.

pacific +1: not much of a west coast guru (jr 44 where are you?) but pacific looks to be the clearly superior team and dons homecourt not so tough.

gl to all.
