hot streak continues with smooth 4-0 friday and ups overall record to 41-28-1. 12-2 last 14 is all that i can be and then some. system pegs ill-chi on the number; sooners again flex home court muscle. tarheels hang through most of the game thanks mainly to zebras who swallowed their whistles when baby blue on defense, though final foul difference of six does not completely reflect it due to endgame hackathon by heels trying to close gap. smaller chas outrebounded carolina by 17; that's sad. lefty's boys come out smokin' and hang to beat st joes.

will be looking with interest for early lines in the charlotte tournament. carolina game could get ugly early with st joe looking to save face. lang played last night but his knee was obviously hurting and he was sweating from his virus like a hooker in church. morrison a stellar 1 for 18 from the floor. of the teams in this tourney, chas came to beat carolina, heels didn't want to be here and st joe just showed up. lefty's guys came to win. ol' lefthander is playing the ncaa seeding game and knows the value of these wins come march for his underrated conference. power numbers suggest chas could be the favorite but can't really believe that will happen. i'm thinking ga state rolls here but we'll wait and see if we get any value.

power numbers point to a lot of favorites today which is not really my gig, though home dogs indy, creighton, lasalle, missouri and loyola mt look inviting. i'll knock it around for awhile and be back later.

loophole,

Kudos on 4-0 any day of the week. I haven't had 4 wins in the last 4 weeks. Read your post and am looking forward to the follow-up.

Like you, I ain't crazy about the favs either, but I am leaning toward WEST MICH- over Marshall (slight lean).

thanks for your picks--i've followed the last 3 or 4 years. iu/uk and miz/il are played on neutral sites with both schools receiving equal allotment of tix.

i won't be playing any of the early games today, just don't see anything that makes me feel warm and fuzzy. will probably have a few late afternoon plays, but i wanted to go ahead and get this one up:

georgia state +3-: this line just came up and, as expeced, chas is the favorite. chas didn't win the carolina game last night, heels lost it. they are that bad. cougars out rebounded the heels by 17 but that won't happen tonight. they have no chance of matching up with georgia state talent-wise. as i mentioned earlier, lefty is thinking ncaa tourney seeding and brought his boys ready to play. he came to charlotte to win this tournament and i'n betting he does by double digits. this will be a two unit play for me.

if anyone sees a line on the carolina/st joe consolation game let me know. that has all the earmarks of a pig-killing in the making as hawks will want to save some face after last night's debacle and heels are just completely lost. lang was really hobbled last night, wouldn't be surprised to see him sit this one out.

Awesome night and nice run!

I swear I never can bet for or against Carolina, but I feel like I am missing so many opportunities to cash in. I might just jump in tonight, that is, if I can find a line on the game.

You are right about the Ga. St. pick. CoC was just so much quicker to the ball last night than Carolina and resulted in some garbage baskets. That won't happen tonight, Ga. St. will roll! I am with you! Give me a heads up if you find a line for Carolina game. I doubt Lang plays, and once again, I don't think it matters.

Good Luck!

here's one for the afternoon:

so ill -21: i'm not one for laying heavy chalk but this is a reasonable number for what appears to be one of the biggest mismatches on the board today. saluikis 8-2 su and 6-1 ats, are in a bad mood after their humbling loss at col state. prior to that loss they were anticipating their first appearance in the top 25; now that will have to wait until next year. this is siu's first home game in three weeks, where they are 4-0 and have already beaten the likes of indiana. se mo, 1-7 su, is a team plagued by internal problems and lacks reliable scoring. they just lost by 12 at home to miss valley state, a team that had lost their last three road games by an average of 31. siu smacks them bu 30+.

siu ran their lead up to 22 after five minutes of the second half and then decided to walk it throught the rest of the way. i get burned every time i lay heavy chalk. that's the last dd fav you'll see out of me for awhile.

three for tonight:

no. iowa -5-: heads up here as i seen plenty of contrary opinion but i just believe n iowa can handle the chippawas at home. c mich i think getting too much credit because of last year's team and by virtue of win over ga state while they were without two starters. c mich 0-4 su and ats on the road and losers of eight straight road games. n iowa 6-1 ats and 3-0 ats at home, including big win over iowa. c mich doesn't defend very well at the guard position and that's where the majority of the panther's offense comes from.

missou +3: i know the game is in st louis, but just don't see how illinois should be laying points here. illini haven't shown me anything off their home court.

idaho pk: this pick is kinda off the wall as i don't know a lot about either of these teams. i do recall that moscow is a pain of a road trip and this is cal northridge's first time there. there's got to be snow on the ground, right? i'm looking at the matadors as a road fav with my head cocked to the side like a dog hearing a strange sound. if alexander, napoleon and hitler couldn't take moscow in the winter, i don't think the matadors can either.

I like those night picks, and love the idaho analysis.

Also, who would have thought that the same team that beat St. Joe's would be getting points against St. Mary's? What do you all think of Eastern Washington tonite?

YES,
How true you are sir when it comes to laying the big number, been cappen for 20 years and sometimes i still with do it.It is a very bad play because of the factors of the team just going thought the motions.I try to limit my plays and control my bankroll. In this game it is not a sprint, its a long long long race.
