here's what i'm liking in the today's early games:

arkansas +12: i played on ky vs tenn thinking the four hour team meeting last sunday would provide the boost that the wildcats have been needing. i was wrong. although ky fought off a fading tenn team, their play appeared less than inspiring. it's obvious the troubles are real and are detracting from this ky team's level of play. the latest suspensions have got to be demoralizing coming on the heels of tubby's shape-up-or-else speech.. in contrast, nolan richardson is looking like a hoops genius after not starting his top six scorers in the pounding of alabama. ark intends to start the same big strong defensive lineup today in lexington, and with ky's lack of quality guard play of late it just might do the trick and keep the razorbacks in this game.

richmond -4: downsides to this game are that it's richmond's third road game in a week and tiger's on the other side. but richmond has been playing solid ball in the a-10 and gwu has sunk about as low as a team can go with the home blowout loss to dayton. richmond has been hanging tough despite being outrebounded by just about everyone. that shouldn't be that much of a problem today as colonials are also weak on the boards.

alabama +1-: maybe a sucker line but i've got to take the tide as a home dog. the house will be packed with rabid tide fans looking to see bama clinch an sec season championship by beating the gators for the first time in a while. with 17 straight home wins i got to think they have a good shot.

bradley +5-: this game is a sweet setup with creighton playing at the top of the conference and bradley in an off year. huge game for creighton as they can clinch tie for conference title with win on national tv. but bradley's carver arena one of the toughest home courts in the country. creighton has lost eight straight in peoria, last win by three in 1991. and creighton hasn't exactly been blowing people out lately with five of last six games decided in the last 30 seconds.

northwestern +5-: a win here could be nw's ticket into the ncaa and carmody knows it. it's senior day and the biggest game of the season for nw thus far.

ga tech +9: i'm not sure but that tech isn't the better team at this point in time ... and akins vs jenifer - puleeeze.

like? no like? tell me now. back with more later.

The only disagreement I had was Bradley...until I dug a little deeper. The only home game they've lost by more than 6 was to So. Cal and it got out to ten near the end. Creighton may well win, but Carver is difficult and Creighton has brought better teams in to play there and come away with nothing. Now that the line is 6, it makes that play even stronger.

Like all your plays, I am on Rich, Bama, NW, and G Tech with G Tech my favorite. I like Arkansas but was going to lay off. Will take a second look. Just can't get a read on the Bradley game.

Alabama does scare me but they are just so good at home.

Good luck

Good info

Good info

I wasn't finding anything strong with the numbers for the 12pm ET games, I like Richmond due to the direction both teams are heading right now. GW looks to be playing out the season and making spring break plans while Richmond can't afford a letdown at all with March madness lurking. I have Ga Tech as a top 3 play right now but haven't looked at alot of games yet.

i lean to lsu as ga has been inconsistent on the sec road but with temple probably out i'll call it a pass.

adding:

st joe -2: trying to relearn thesson of playing against teams in back-to-back road teams, as tiger was trying to tell me about in the richmond game but was too dense to understand.

fla onder 153: valuist's under play in the first game bailed me out of the tough arkansas loss so i'll give it a try here too.

hoops - wm & mary was just one of those uncappable games, no way to foresee that result. with bradley and northwestern, i've seen a few stinkers today.

for tonight:

n ill -1-: its the last hurrah for chick evans field house tonight - final game after 45 years. this place rocked with the best of them in its day though crowds have dropped off a bit in recent years. tonight they'll honor the venue and all-time players at halftime so they should get close to the 6000 capacity. cmu is 7-29 all time @ chick evans, and has lost 11 of the last 13. also this year cmu is 1-10 s/u, 1-9-1 ats on the road. lone win at doormat e mich.

new orleans -9-: denver is a horrible road team and monte has his boys playing solid ball.

tenn tech -4-: if domercant is out for e ill, this is a strong play.

Great calls on the Alabama game Loop, hitting the side and the total. Very tough 1 point loss on the Arkansas game.....my condolences there.

Like your night card except I'm against you in the "not-nationally-televised" Tennessee Tech/East Illinois game.

Good luck!

just got home from a party and i can see i was pretty fortunate tonight. wouldn't have looked at the sec unders if it hadn't have been for valuist's post, and i played tenn tech on the mistaken notion that domercant wasn't playing. i'm most pleased with n ill which was my biggest play of the day - i consider that one the best find. i'm looking forward to tomorrow's games.

Nice analysis on the N.Illinois game.
Seemed like a really good angle to get some value.
Thanks for posting it.

loop, great find with that N. Ill game. My local asked why I was playing them as he was getting an usual amount of action on that game and I spouted off your post. Made me sound like a freakin handicapper for a change. Thanks.
