2-0 on friday, 58-44 overall, 5-0 on double plays. denver and new orleans both play out as forecasted - love it when a plan comes together. good chance there's more to be made in the future with both those teams. i see two games today that look good and the lines have started to move up, so better get them in now:

w mich -11: this game would have been a double play but for the line move, as i almost never play with them heavily. ricky stokes appears to be at the helm of the titanic in blacksburg. 11 players have now left the program since he came on board in '99, including some of his recruits. last game a week ago at home, play reached a new nadir as the hokies barely eased by woeful morgan st. when you shoot 1-15 from the 3 pt arc at home against a team like morgan st, your team has some issues. w mich off a very strong rout of auburn is always solid at home. hard to see the hokies staying close.

vcu -3-: vcu the better team at home with a decent homecourt and tcu with no real road credits - traveling to richmond for a game is a little tougher than day trips to denton or waco.

back later with a few more.

misposted this game under a new thread so i thought i would add it in here.

ind +3: usually stay away from the high profile games, but i can't see how ky should be favored here. not much homecourt edge for the wildcats in louisville, expect to see plenty of screaming hoosier fans. hawkins comes back today, but he hasn't practiced with the first team so it's hard to imagine he'll be on the top of his game coming off the bench. indy has run the table on about as tough a schedule as anyone would want to face in the first month of the season. i think too much has been made of the hoosiers' shooting slump in the vandy and purdue games, two teams that play really tough man-to-man d on the perimeter. haven' seen anything close to that kind of defensive effort out of the wildcats. hard to see tubby's boys putting away the hoosiers in the endgame.

also:

also:

rice pk: i see two very even teams with owls getting no credit for their considerable homecourt advantage - makes them a bargain in my book.

evansville -1: same situation as above. the line was virtually the same when murray st played at mtsu a few days ago, and evansville is a much better team than the blue raiders imo.

last two:

last two:

byu -10: tough road trip for the cal-sb off an eleven day exam break. cougars have a 34 game win streak and play tough d in provo. i think gauchos will be hard pressed to break 55.

ill-chi -3: gonna go with the rare conference road favorite and play the hot flames, who have come into form since the return of top scorer cedric banks. on the other hand, wisc-gb has struggled since losing staring guard calix n'dayie with serious dropoff in talent of frosh replacement.
