Another busy night in pucks in here and an interesting trend finally seems to be settling in. Last night out of 10 games, there were 8 overs, 1 under and 1 push. And the "under" game finished with 4 goals, so it was only 1 goal from being a push. And the night before (Friday) we saw 4 overs, 2 pushes and only 1 under.
This time of the year, the scores ALWAYS start to go up a little bit. It's simply impossible for coaches to keep the players focused on the bump and grind and dump and chase game over an entire 82 game sked. The players seem to lose a little focus and the coaches seem to be OK with their team playing a little looser for a couple of months.
It's just something to keep an eye on as the lines will not reflect it for a week or three.
