well, went 3-0 on posted plays...williamson and the over in the willamson fight....and a small parlay with rahman and the over in byrd/mccline.....

was looking for a prop...odds on whether stoney stone would make an ass of himself...would have been the surest bet on the card...

golota/ruiz?.....just an utterly horrible fight...imo...i enjoy guys that can box a little.......how does anyone handicap this garbage?........

golota jumps out early....looked like ruiz actually tried to fight normally early.....and got knocked on his ass for his trouble......one knockdown...not two...the ref called the second push a knockdown...it wasn`t.....

then ruiz falls into his punch and clinch routine......through the 4th to around the 8th.....how you score that crap,i have no idea.....

but, then, starting around the 9th,i thought ruiz took over...and golota stopped fighting.... i don`t know why.....in the last few rounds ,ruiz beat him around the ring....

it`s the best ruiz has ever looked,imo..... he landed many clean shots(for this fight,anyway)...

golota had the fight won...all he had to do was put out a little....instead,he went into a shell and got what he deserved.....

a good decision,imo......ruiz was the one trying for the last 5 rounds....golota did his usual mental meltdown..not by fouling.....by not punching......the guy`s an absolute loon....never seen a fighter find more ways to lose winnable fights...he`s amazing....

byrd just wore down mccline....mccline was gassed by the 7th...byrd is smart....take the big lummox into deep water and drown him...that`s just what he did...i was worried about my over...i thought mccline might go in the 11th.....

the guy is a mediocre heavyweight....despite the size...and being relatively athletic for that size....

i have to give byrd credit....the guy finds ways to hang in fights with these monsters on smarts....and patience.....he`s a damned good fighter...not exciting...but he knows his way around the squared circle....

i`m not gonna get carried away with rahman....i figured meehan wasn`t anywhere near as good as he looked vs bogus/inanimate lamon brewster.....

rahman will probably come in undertrained, heavy and lethargic for his next fight......

holifield needs to be made to retire...before he gets seriously hurt...he couldn`t get off...he said it himself after the fight...that`s the sign that it`s over...we saw it with jones vs johnson.....

as for stoney stone,he needs to get clipped and clipped good.....a total white trash a-hole....a disgusting piece of garbage....when he came out to that little, fat baldheaded cornerman of golota`s during an early altercation in the fight,i was thinking,......" why isn`t the guy in the other corner ever a guy that looks like he can handle himself?". ....it`s always some defenseless shlub....

what a piece of work....at least he helps liven up the usually boring ruiz bouts......

if i never see ruiz or golota in the ring again,i`ll be happy as a clam...lol...

what a heavyweight crop...sans byrd...i really think that even though the guy has a boring style,he fights anybody...regardless of size....and really knows his s-it.....he deserves some credit... even though his punches rarely do serious damage......and he will almost always be in fights that are difficult to score.....

rahman did what he had to do vs limited competition...

hope everyone did well...

now,on to the "real" fighters starting next weekend.....and running up to christmas week......now is the time to make some xmas money....

g.l.

I'm not condoning Stoney Stone's behavior but Golata repeatedly hit Ruiz after the Bell (even after stone was tossed) and Golata blatantly pounded Ruiz on the back of the head throughout the fight and the ref didn't do d*mn thing about it. But Stone definitly handled it the wrong way as usual and he probably needs to get some help.

Did you see him run across the ring with his fast raised at the other corner when G hit R after the bell in the first round... CLASSIC

Norman Stone is a complete A**H*LE. He seriously needs to get some help. One of my favorite moments in my life with boxing had to be the press conference wfor the Ruiz-Jones. Watching Stone get laid out by Merkonsen was pure joy.
