YTD posted record: 12-18

Saturday
----------------------------------------------------------------------

1)Marquette(+10)
Marquette is a very good team (15-5) that can shoot (40.7% on their 3's). Combine that with the very real possibility that Pitt gets caught looking ahead to their big game against UConn on Tuesday and DD's too much to pass up.

2)North Carolina (-3.5)
Like I said Wednesday, just not sold on this Arizona team. Their defensive numbers are terrible, especially on the road, and the Tar Heels are still pretty good at home (8-3 YTD). With Arizona only 7-12 ATS YTD, this is a relatively small number to lay at home.

More to come....................................

Good luck out there today,

Adding:

3)Cornell(+3)

Always had some success in the Ivy League and like Cornell as a small dog today.

Columbia, after opening the season 5-0 (against such heavyweights as Stoney Brook and Sacred Heart) have gone 3-8 since, and are coming off a 3 game road trip.....usually a tough spot in any sport.

Cornell started the season 2-5 but are 4-6 since, and 1 point away from being 5-5. That would be their one point loss to this same Columbia team last Saturday, when they themselves were coming off a 3 game road trip. The Big Red have played 2 ranked teams, losing at Syracuse by 5 and at Washington by 16. Columbia has played none.

A look at roster makeup also favours Cornell in this one. Out of 15 players, 8 are either Jr's or Sr's. Out of the 15 players on Columbia's roster, 11 are either Fr or So's.

4) Ole Miss (+8)

The 8's are starting to disappear, so I grabbed it.

I know that LSU has some advantages on defence and on the boards, but Mississippi has aways been a pretty decent play at home and this year is no different as they are a sparkling 10-1 straight up YTD. They shoot 48.5% at home, and their only loss here was to #3 Memphis.

LSU scores 69.4 pts/gm on the road.
Miss scores 73.1 pts/gm at home

LSU gives up 65.6 pts/gm on the road
Miss gives up 62.3 pts/gm at home

And again, a look at roster makeup has to be considered. Out of 13 players on the LSU roster, 9 are either sophmores or freshmen..............a bigger factor when playing in a hostile environment
on the road.

I'll take the generous 8 points.

5) Oregon State(+3.5)

Waited too long to play this one and missed out on the 4's.

UCLA has not swept the two Oregon area games since 2001 and yep, they won at Oregon on Thursday.

The Bruins, as everyone knows, are banged up some, and that should come into play against this State team that has some good size ( 6 players 6'8" or bigger), plays very good Defence (39.2% DFG% at home) and has better stats in both shooting the 3 and defending the 3 than UCLA.

Oregon State has 5 conference losses but they have been by 2 pts, 4, 2, 6 and 14. Their last 3 losses overall have been by a combined 8 points. This is a team that will give you everything and I think are a solid home dog this afternoon.

Off to the arena to watch my daughter play ringette. Will be back later with some night picks.

6) Brown(+2)

Another shot at the Ivy League. Harvard started the year 8-3 but are are only 2-3 in their last 5 with both wins coming against 2-14 Dartmouth.

Brown seems to be heading in the other direction winning 4 of their last 6.

In the last 5 games for each team..................

OFG%
Harvard .....37.1%
Brown.....40.5%

DFG%
Harvard.....50.2%....Yikes
Brown....44.9%

D3FG%
Harvard.....44.4%
Brown......30.4%

Brown has beaten Harvard here 4 of the last 5 times, and has covered ATS 6 of the last 9 overall vs them.

Brown played at home last night. Harvard played on the road last night so this is B/B road for them.

Like Brown at home as a small dog.

7) Cal Irvine (+1)

Very hot team, winning last 7 straight that includes 6 straight covers.

The stats show they are better then LB State in just about all the categories I look at, including 3's, and free throws................which are especially important in what is basically a pick'em.

That's it, don't like anything else tonight.
