Too bad the Ivy doesn't play every night! Finally broke out of my losing streak as Cornell didn't need the 20 points. I went 3-1 in the Ivy and 1-0 in the MAAC on my posted plays and got back to 50% for my PODs:

Play of the Day record now: 13-13-2

I've got to stay in the Ivy for Saturday, which has been a terrible day for me the last couple of weeks.

No Ivy lines up yet so I don't have any picks but I like:

1. Penn

Penn let Cornell off easy and Columbia showed that Princeton is not really that good this year.

I'm hoping for a line just under 10 here, Penn should easily cover that.

Penn is by far the best team in the Ivy and their starters got a little rest on Friday from their recent tough Big Five games. Also, Penn is the better conditioned team and should be able to bounce back better here.

2. Brown

Harvard had Brown by ten or more for most of the second half; I wouldn't be surprised to see Brown get a line of ten or less against Dartmouth.

Dartmouth is terrible, and Hunt went 1-10 vs Harvard; that won't happen two nights in a row. Brown will take their frustration for two straight Ivy losses out on poor Dartmouth.

My daughter's 5th birthday party is in the morning, I'll try to post when I can.

TBoZ31 --

I got you beat, we had 35 kids!!! What a zoo but it was great. I rented the Marionette Theatre in Central Park for the morning and they had a private showing of their "Peter Pan" puppet show for us. It was great. All courtesy of yesterdays Ivy winners. LOL

Now I've got ten kids back at our apartment and the dads are sitting around drinking beer!

Play of the Day is:

Brown -6 (Camelot)

As noted last night, Brown is one of the top teams in the Ivy. No way they lose three straight league games and no way Hunt gets stopped by Dartmouth. Brown averages 80+ ppg so it should be easy to cover six.

I'm not playing any of the other Ivy games, but I would take Harvard, Princeton and Penn all to cover the first half lines.

good health and good luck.

Great effort by Brown. Up all game and can not close out. I think this is exactly what Fletcher was talking about this year in basketball. I played 6 games today both 1st half and game. I went 6-0 in the first half and 0-6 for the games. Looks like I better wise up and just play the first half. Good call on the game superbook, but this is how Vegas makes there money. A shitty team getting late covers.

Sorry guys, Brown just let Dartmouth hang around. The Bruins were up by 5 at the half and 9 with 10:00 to go. Somehow they let Dartmouth tie it up with :18 to go and then Brown hit a 3 with one second to go to win it. Chit!!!!

Harvard and Princeton easily covered at the half, Penn wasn't so lucky vs Columbia.

I hope UCLA bails me out in the late game.

West Coast Guru -- I think you're right about those first half plays. Boilermaker hit 3 of 4 on his Ivy parlay, just missing on Penn who somehow lost to Columbia on a basket in the final second! Don't count out Penn, they must be exhausted after those Big Five games. I had a feeling Yale might beat Harvard today.

Adding:

Irvine -4.5 (first half)

The birthday girl is finally in bed, time for some more beers.:toast:
