Starting off with 2 double-digit road dogs (I believe they were 13-6 ATS last week).

Kent St. +28, 4 units

Kent is a program on the rise and this is a chance to make a statement, playing OSU for first time in years. DD road dogs do very well early on, and I like this in-state dog. Cribbs is an unheralded talent who can make the big plays. Question is, can they match up physically with Buckeyes? With a 28-point cushion, I'd say so. Like this one a lot.

WVU +11, 4 units
Another new-look squad with a achance to make a statement. Mounties looked awesome last week (I know, it was UTC) and I could see them pulling off an upset here. 11 is just too much. Wiscy simply aint that good and WVU is way better than last year, starting with Marshall at QB.

I'm 8-4 ATS on posted plays, but minus 2 units after blowing a load on the ND-MD game (7 units). Still am up where it counts, though, in my account. Back later with more.

Adding: UNC +6, 3 units

Both teams stunk last week. UNC coach Bunting has been on his guys all week after a nine TO performance and miserable loss at home against MIAMI OH. Quite simply, not much disparity between these teams -- both are rebuilding. I like Bunting better than Pasqualoni, and in reality this is almost a pick em.

We could see Stephens after Durant turned it over 6 times last week. That would help UNC's cause, as Durant abandoned the team this summer, then came back, but may be in the doghouse big-time now.

Interesting sidenote, UNC is 5-0-1 on artificial turf since 1995.

Strictly a contrarian play. Consensus of more than 80% on MSU. Line keeps going up. I'll take the points.

Tread lightly, got burnt on Terps last week. But I like Fridge to get in their asses and get em fired up. Should be up 21 by half. Problem is that the offense looks not at all high-powered. But that gives us value this week and I still see them winning big, really big.

Huge consensus on WSU and a big time look ahead game with OHIO ST on deck. IDAHO has covered 3 of last 4 against Cougars.

Tough to go against CSU, as I love Lubbick, Van Pelt, Sapp and Crew. But several factors point to UCLA:

-UCLA has covered in 7 of last 8 openers.

-You have a team with Two straight games against a fresh team in its opener.

-Big pub consensus on CSU.

Biggest red flag of them all! ----- CSU has failed to cover after the emotional Colorado game six straight years. This is the definition of a letdown game.

Let's see: an all new Stanford defense, Willingham is gone, QB is suspended.

BC, meanwhile, is coming off a poor performance against lowly UCONN in which the offense never really got on track. BC also lost to Stanford last year, and 16 starters from that game are back with revenge on their minds. BC 11-2 ATS last 2 years as a fave. I like them easily in this one.

Season: 14-9, -4 units

-For the second straight week, all my low rated plays won and all my biggies lost. Eeery how that has happened all three weeks now.

-Fortunately there isn't much difference in how I actually play them, but its frustrating to post winners and have a negative unit mark. Maybe I should use stars or just post them as picks.

EIther way, a huge late win on UCLA and a very good day for my acct, no matter what Units I have on here.
