Not going to spend allot of time writing up about this game because it toooooo easy (or it sure looks that way) . This game could be the easiest one of all and I was waiting all morning for the line to come out.
Niagara should PISS all over Rider tonight ! Rider played last night and that game ended at 11:30. They didn't even impress me against a WEAK Iona team that only managed to get one victory all season. (and that was against Rider).Rider did not enter the postseason too hot, losing three of its last four games, including a horrible season-finale loss to Niagara. As for the Purple Eagles, they come soaring into this match up, winning eight consecutive games, including a dominating 89-77 win over their current opponent, Rider. The win pushed Niagara's league mark to 13-5, which was good enough for the second seed in this tournament.
Niagara has way too many weapons for Rider, especially on the low post. Charron Fisher and Cliff Brown make up the toughest tandem in the paint in the entire MAAC. Fisher is netting 21.8 ppg and grabbing 8.0 rpg, while Brown is averaging 16 ppg and a team-best 9.4 rpg. I watched the game last night and I was thinking that me and four buddies could give Rider a run for their money on the court.
Go to the bank on this one boys. I thought this line would open at Niagara -10 , so you could have imagined my surprise when I saw the line at -5 in the paper this morning ! Iam in at -5.5 and I expect the line to go higher. Now I just want to see what Box and One has to say about this game, because I know he follows this league meticulously.
Once again...Good Luck to all !!
