I just dont get the buying points thing. it is hard enough to win at this much less paying extra juice. You think you may win outright but you want to lay extra juice to get 1/2 point? Not trying to bash by any means but I dont see the value in doing that, especially in hoops. It certainly isnt as bad as these guys buying points left and right in foots to get off full numbers (like it is worth the extra juice to go from -3 to -2.5, aside from the fact it lands on 3 something like 7% of the time).

Your point is well taken. I do it quite frequently and am not burned on it nearly as often as I am burned by the hook in hoops. Definitely not for everyone, but I'm of the mentality that the Juice won't come into play because the play is a winner. Kind of a superstition I guess or paying an insurance policy when You know you don't need it.
