I like Yale...to win the Ivy. But the Bulldogs are no match for a good ACC team.

The question mark for Wake Forest this year was who was going to replace Josh Howard...I really like this kid Taron Downey. He had an emergency appendectory just 8 days before the Coaches vs Cancer tourney at MSG and came off the bench to play 26 minutes and score 20 points shooting 64% from the field.

And Danelius is probable for this game....he could be the best post player in the ACC...he sprained his ankle in practice on 11/21 but should be suited to play.

The clincher for me is that this game is at Bridgeport...Yale is on break and this will be more of a neutral than home court....especially with an early afternoon game.

Yale is very well-coached and snuck up on UConn...I think Wake Forest will be ready for them and put the Bulldogs away early....Deacons have just too much talent.

A litt more info: todays game is at 1 p.m. at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport. Bridgeport is a short drive from New Haven but with most of the students home for the holidays, this new arena will be mostly empty. Yale has played here a couple of times but this is not their home court.

Yale lost at Wake Forest last season by 12 points. The final score was not indicative however as Yale didn't play that well and they were down by 18 most of the game.

I also think that Yale is a little tired in the early going: they played at Bucknell on Wednesday night and didn't get back to New Haven until 1:30am Thursday morning.

Yale has a fairly tough early schedule, they had played four road games in the previous eight days and they showed a bit of fatique in giving up a 14-point lead in the second half against Bucknell before winning on a 3-pointer with 16 seconds to play.

I see Oly has a first half team total on Wake Forest of 51.5.

jon.. I don't know what to make of this 1st half wake total. is this a mistake???? Yale hasn't given up more than what.. 70 in it's 4 games let alone 51 1/2 for a half! Are you jumping on this?
