Interesting discussion I was having with myself concerning the round-robin I played last night vs playing each of the three straight-up. First off, I could/would not play them straight-up with the huge chalk. Secondly, as it worked out, I lost 0.63 units. Playing straight-up, I would have lost 0.40 units. But the return for that extra 23 basis points outweighed the risk. Had Buffalo won last night, I would have won 3.69 units with the round-robin and 3.00 units straight-up. In essence, wagering 23 basis points to earn 69 basis points (round-robin vs straight-up)...a nice return.
That is why the only way to play these huge fav's is to parlay (in hockey).
On to tonight, where there is tons of action:
DET ML/BUF +0.5 +1.32
DET ML/TOR +0.5 +1.23
DET ML/BST +0.5 +1.22
DET ML/VAN +0.5 +1.25
And round-robin DET/COL/DAL:
DET ML/DAL ML +0.89

Obviously need DET to win tonight.
