This is something I found from Sportsline that may have pointed against Cuse. Isn't hindsight great?

http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/teamrpt/5768249

"SCOUTING THE OFFENSE: Junior quarterback R.J. Anderson is struggling. Entering the Pittsburgh game, Anderson has completed just 30 of his 71 passes (42.3 percent) for 572 yards, two TDs and six interceptions. The three picks that Anderson threw against Auburn forced coach Paul Pasqualoni to pull his starter in favor of senior Troy Nunes, who sparked the offense. Still, Pasqualoni remains committed to Anderson, who will face a tough challenge this week against Pitt's stout defense.
Pitt is ranked fifth in turnovers forced (17), ninth in pass-efficiency defense (85.68) and 16th in total defense (279 yards per game). The Panthers will be tested by Syracuse's two-headed tailback of Walter Reyes (383 yards, six rushing TDs) and Damien Rhodes (263 yards, 4 TDs).

SCOUTING THE DEFENSE
The Orangemen are surrendering a whopping 31.5 points and 499.5 yards per game. Ouch. Injuries up front, as well as a rugged non-conference schedule (losses on the road to BYU and Auburn as well as at home against North Carolina), have been the biggest reasons for the struggles. "
