Memphis comes into Columbia very banged up. They will only be dressing a handful of scholarship players. Mizzou will be a rested and focuse team, they don't play again for a week so there is no chance of a look ahead in this scenario. The Mizzou offense has been clicking so far this season as the are averaging nearly 80 per game. Missouri has collected the cash in 10 of their last 11 dating back to last season and should be way too much for a banged up Memphis squad.

First true road test for the Memphis Tigers. Arthur Barclay , Academics, Almany Theiro, Leg, Jeremy Hunt, Knee, and Chris Massie, Academics, will not suit up for this tilt.

Transfer Billy Richmond will finally become eligible vs. Missouri and give them much needed help at guard. 4 players have carried the team so far due to above mentioned problems. Freshman Rodney Carney has averaged 14 points per game. Senior and Juco transfer John Grice who was ineligible most of last season has averaged 17.2 points per game. Sophomore Anthony Rice has averaged 11 per game. Senior Earl Barron has averaged 15.2 ppg. There has been no real contribution from anyone else on the team. The above mentioned players have very little experience starting vs. top notch competition in front of a hostile crowd. The majority of their statistics come from playing teams like Austin Peay, Furman, Arkansas Little Rock in front of the home folks.

I listened to an interview with John Calipari on the local sports talk radio show. He sounded very pessemistic about going into the Hearnes with this team. He did all but concede defeat. He even joked of starting the water boy at point guard. That being said Calipari will get the most out of team Ijust don't think it will be enough to avoid a blowout at the Hearnes center.

That Mich St. Kentucky total was a tough one to swallow but that's the way the ball bounces. I could get in trouble going with some road teams here but I'll take my chances. Good luck to everyone.
