YTD 39-22

Playing the following early

Toledo +6'
Rockets badly need this one after an 0-2 conference start. Stans boys love to jack the 3 and I don't believe that the Zips perimeter defense is their greatest strength. I will be most surprised if this is not a close battle throughout.

BG +5
Just dont think that Western should be laying points to nearly anybody in the MAC. I expect BG to improve as time goes on,and also expect them to cover the 5 here.

Youngstown St. +6
After seeing them again Thursday I'm just amazed at the progress that the pengs have made. I think that they can hang with just about anybody in the Horizon. The Titans in Detroit will certainly test my theory.

Maryland/ Miami Fla UNDER 144
Buffalo/ N. Illinois UNDER 132

Thats it, I'm done. I'll be back sometime after the Toledo/Akron game tonight to assess the damage.

Good luck boys

"He'll always be Mike F$%^ing Gansey to me now. Whenever I watch a Wake game in the future and some little bugger on the other team goes off, I'll say to myself, "Who does he think he is, Mike F$%^ing Gansey?" It's like in the movie Highlander. there can be only one, and it's Mike F%^&ing Gansey. He will haunt me. - Wake Poster after Gansey dropped 29 on them".... Wilson's signature

Hey Wilson... Thats really funny, great sig.

Akron may jack the three but 3 of their 4 top 3pt shooters in attempts are shooting at or over 40% from beyond the arc (the other is at 35%). I goto KSU and I was at the Toledo game the other day and was unimpressed by their play, especially their defense. Good luck though!

Smitty, i looked at that game for a long time before going with just the total play there. I passed on the Bulls because I have a healthy respect for the Husky defense. I can see the Bulls getting frustrated if the good looks are not there for them. If forced to play a side, the Bulls + would be the lean.

Zebbers, you are right Toledo is not a good defensive team. However, after the Louisville game Akron has been has been much more methodical and stressed better defensive play, especially inside.Youngstown St. enjoyed some success in shooting the 3 over the zone here at the JAR and I suspect that Howell and Villegas( who has slumped badly recently) may get off as well. BTW: Dials is having more problems with his knee and may not get all of his minutes in today.
With Bubba gone, the Zips may find themselves very thin at guard soon.

spang, as always, thank you for your reply. i have to think the way northern ill has lost the last two games will take it's toll on them. blowing halftime leads against miami ohio and north dakota state. north dakota state? if they can shake off those two losses and play a full game today against a decent buffalo squad, i shall tip my hat to them.

Falcon, not sure. I actually read the Blade this morning looking for just that info but came up empty. I know that he has been "slowed" by a hip pointer but to what extent, I am not sure.

BTW: Is Omar Jacobs Fcuking nuts?

Played Youngstown also spang. gl today.

Not publicized much, but there is some turmoil at Wichita St. Been brewing for 2 weeks now. A good go against lately. Anxious to see Sunday's line @Ill. st. @Bradley Weds, they can't handle them there. could get ugly.

Not trying to turn this into a football thread but I had heard Jacobs was talking about this early in the season. I figured once he got hurt he would wait a year. That's what I get for trying to figure out what these kids are thinking. Of course, it may have nothing to do with football but with the rigorous academics at BGSU. As a graduate of this fine school, I know only a select few can cut it academically!
