Scam?

A friend of mine plunked down a small 50 off of her credit card for an online casino. I think the name was Tropez. Playing poker and keno she won about 2500. She has asked them to send her 2000 of it. They told her it takes a couple of weeks to get the check to her. I hated to rain on her parade, but it sounds like a scam to me. Anybody ever heard of Tropez or aware of similar scams?

I think their slogan is:


"Come to Tropez......when you win, we no pay!"

My thoughts exactly. I told her not to spend any money first!

If its Casino Tropez, no, its not a scam. Their actually one of the better casinos on the web. A check via regular mail can surely take 2 weeks from offshore. Tell her to call back and offer to pay the fed ex or wire fee and I'm sure they'd accomodate the request.
