Scott, I feel for you, going to get locked out of the championship game due to a bullshvt system. Hopefully this will put more pressure on having an 8 or 16 team playoff, using the bowl games as playoff games. And if Oklahoma loses tonight, I wonder if all the people who protested against Nebraska 3 years ago for getting to NC game without winning the conference are going to protest Oklahoma doing the same.

I doubt they will protest as much because Nebraska had more losses then Oklahoma would have if they happen to go down.

USC is only #2 because they lost before LSU, yet if Oklahoma losses tonight, they most likely still go to the title game yet they would have lost later then LSU & USC. That's the logic used by most pollsters, it seems.
If OU loses, they should not become the #3 team, because that would assume that LSU and USC are better than OU.
If OU loses tonight, I still believe the pollsters will have them #1, ahead of LSU and USC. The #1 votes would be split 50% OU, 50% LSU/USC.
Well they shouldn't be ranked #1. I mean if LSU holds on, they deserve to be #1. Oklahoma is getting all this hype but they are another team who hasn't played much in my opinion. Teams in the past have been punished for losing this late in the season, why should Oklahoma be any different?

and I really think usc/lsu is the deserving game if what seems might happen does
lsu and usc will be 2 best teams at end of year .. too bad OU didnt come to play, and KST who had never won a big game under synder (almost never) out coached and out hustled the Sooners

OU will "not" be #1 in the polls. They will prob. be #3 in the polls which will prob. be enough for them to get to the NC. If I had my choice, i would like USC to play LSU in NC. If you cannot win your conference you should not play to be #1. Then what is the point in winning and playing to win your conference?

I agree with you totally Scott. If LSU holds on then we will have two teams that won their conference outright. Why should one get penalized?

I agree with your comments in your first paragraph. I do think Oklahoma would have field day passing against USC's pass defense. I wasn't impressed with what I saw of that today.

As far as winning your conference is concerned, I agree to a point, but your comparing apples to oranges as Usc does not have to play a championship game to win the pac 10.:shrug:
Why would LSU or USC want to play OU in the NC game. If they beat OU they beat a team that KSU destroyed. WUPTEE DO. USC should play LSU. It be great matchup and I hope the polls vote OU #5 in the polls and keep them out of the NC game. If OU lost by a field goal i would argue they should not play, but they are getting BLOWN OUT! What a sad team.

That is what i been saying. I said USC could beat OU and people laughed and called me homer. I also said OU has not played anybody near as good as USC, especially USC offense. If KSU puts up 35 on OU what would the USC offense do? Remember, USC would not hold back! USC has at least 2 more weapons on offense than KSU.
