No I have not seen future line but my guess is USC will be favored by 30-35pts. I don't see much value in taking USC by that #. Maybe slight lean to Hawaii. Chow liked to put pedal to the metal and Carroll liked to win with defense. USC this year IMO will try and get out to a 14-20pt leads and then run the ball more. Especially now that USC has an experienced OL.

I think the value is taking USC 1h against Hawaii and the OVER. I might make that a huge bet on either of these plays. I have to watch how USC performs in fall practices leading up to game. I also have no idea what Hawaii brings to table, although they will be without Chang.

There are HUGE question marks with USC's defense that media magazines or media in general are not talking about when praising USC and picking them #1. USC lost there 2 best DT's, 2 best LB's, and starting safety to graduation and/or NFL. Not only were these guys great players, but they were the LEADERS of this team. Great character guys with TONS of experience. On top of that, after spring practice USC lost there #1 DT (M. Wright) to academics and #1 DB (E. Wright) to off the field problems.

USC offense has EVERYBODY back and made great additions, but the USC defense lost so many great players and guys replacing them are inexperienced.

That is why the OVER is a great play. Will USC defense stop Hawaii who we all know will throw all their best plays and effort at USC. USC offense should be a machine. On top of that, you have Reggie Bush returning kickoffs and on offense he can score real fast.

Lastly, Carroll was VERY upset last time USC played Hawaii. Jones ran up the score with his starters against USC 3rd string players on defense. Not sure if he still upset but maybe he wants to go for the kill against Hawaii. USC easily could put up 60pts. Booty, USC's 2nd string QB who would come in mop up duty looked awesome this year in spring practices. So USC can still score with 2nd unit.

Hawaii is in a complete rebuilding mode and will be going with a RS Freshman at QB and they also lost all their experience at RB and WR, so they should struggle out the gate. USC should pound this team in the interior line as Hawaii is small inside and even with Jerry Glanville coaching the D this team will have trouble with bigger physical teams like USC.

LMAO. Scott, of all the stupid things you have ever posted. You think Carroll was "very upset" because "Jones ran up the score." USC won 61-32 ....how the fux is that running up the score...losing by 29? And USC still covered by DD. And what exactly would upset Carroll about that.....was it somehow classless of Hawaii to keep playing only down 40 or so?

Of course maybe you are thinking 1999, when in classy fashion USC only won 62-7 ...good thing Jones didnt run it up that year.

I know for a fact Carroll was upset. I "think" Carroll avoided shaking Jones hand at end of game. But could be wrong on that. I do know he was upset.

Carroll put in 2nd string, then 3rd stringers/walk ons into game. I think for entire 4th quarter he did this. Hawaii kept throwing the ball every down and making the game longer because clock doesn't stop. So now we are at end of 4th and Carroll has every 3rd stringer and walk on in game and Hawaii is still passing. Under 2min. I think Hawaii scored TD. Ok thats fine. But then Hawaii goes for on side kick and gets ball with 1.30 left. Hawaii keeps throwing the ball trying to score against 3rd stringers and walk ons. Ok fine. But then with 30 sec. left and near 20 yard of USC Hawaii starts calling timeouts. They started using timeouts and prolonging the game. So with 10-15ssec left Hawaii called last timeout and ran there play and USC stopped them before 1st down marker. Game over right? NO. Hawaii runs up to ball and snaps it with 1 sec. left on clock and scores an easy TD.

Whether Carroll has right to be pissed or not, CARROLL WAS IN FACT UPSET! That is how the game played out.

Good info MC! Thanks. Looks like high prob. USC will be able to force some fumbles and INT's.
