Round 1 play (2pts):

Rafa Cabrera-Bello to beat Chris Wood -116 @ Bet365
The Spaniard is in the better form than his opponent, in particular having lost out in a playoff for the BMW International Open two weeks ago, but their h2h stats give a telling story of these two players: over the last 12 months, Cabrera-Bello leads Wood 13-9-0 h2h over 72 holes, but he leads him 16-5-1 in rd1 and 12-8-2 in rd2, but it is Wood who leads Cabrera-Bello 10-5-1 in rd3 and 7-5-3 in rd4. In short, Cabrera-Bello is the better player, as shown by their respective World Rankings, but he is very much stronger than his opponent before the weekend ... he has finished rd1 inside the top-15 in 8 of his last 11 starts.

Round 3 play (2pts):

Justin Rose to beat Ricardo Gonzalez -175 @ SkyBet, ToteSport, Coral and BetFred [available generally]
Simply a mismatch between the World #6 and the World #350. It has been over three years since Rose failed to finish ahead of Gonzalez in any event and while he is one shot behind him after two rounds, the Argentinean has the pressure of holding a share of the lead and he has won just one event in the last ten years (2009 SAS Masters). By contrast, Rose won his last event, the Quicken Loans National.

Round 4 play (2pts):

Ollie Schniederjans to beat Tom Lewis +163 @ BetVictor [available generally]
There's value in these odds for a small play, at least. Lewis has been in indifferent form, finishing mc, 72nd, 63rd in his last three starts and five bogeys in his last seven holes today saw him drop to 37th and out of the top-10 place that he needs to qualify for next week's Open Championship. Schneiderjans is the #1 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, so is more than capable of beating the Englishman and doesn't warrant such odds.

[unofficial rd4 system play: Lee tb Gonzalez -106]
