I bet the Cards to win the series a few days ago hoping that they would end the nasty funk that they were in towards the end of the regular season.
I think that blast off of peavy in the 1st game has this team refocused and ready for the next round. Wainwright, now the closer, looks to have that confidence that you need in a closer and the performance by weaver in game 2 speaks for itself.
I don't see a letdown at all today as STL will close it out.
