SEATTLE - While his teammates prepare for the NFC Championship game, one Seahawk is in jail, booked for investigation of domestic violence.
Seahawks starting Offensive Lineman Sean Locklear was arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday in Pioneer Square.
King County Jail records show that Locklear was arrested for investigation of assault and domestic violence. He is being held without bail.
He must have a hearing before he is released and, as of Monday afternoon, he had still not been released.
Locklear started all 16 regular season games with Seahawks at right tackle.
The Seahawks play the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship Game this Sunday.
Locklear is one of the few Seahawks with a Carolina connection. He was born and raised in North Carolina and played college football at North Carolina State.
Back in October, Seahawks starting Safety Ken Hamlin was injured in a fight outside of a Pioneer Square nightclub. Hamlin suffered a fractured skull and a blood clot on his brain and was placed on injured reserve for the rest of the season.
At the time, Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said he'd seen enough, and told his players and coaches to stay away from that part of town.
