Been a Charger fan for many years and although I'm sick about the meltdown tonight there is a silver lining and IMO welcome the new Charger head coach... Mr Sean Peyton...:popcorn2

so much talent on both sides of the ball... a coach with a clue could be huge for that team. Oh, and maybe a FUCKING RUN GAME.

nobody in the league seems to understand this any more. you still need to be able to run the ball. you can't throw it 60 times for 3 quarters and then hope you can grind out some first downs in the 4th quarter. you have to establish a ground game early if you're going to have any chance of it being effective later.

another factor, and this is just an educated guess... but the league is so pass-happy now, they're not even drafting guys who can run block.

ok, while we're ranting... is it just me, or are there far more stupid unsportsmanlike penalties in huge situations than ever before? the first one, in the first game, didn't end up mattering. but the hit on the qb to give seattle a fg attempt at the end of the first half. so dumb. and then bosa in this game, giving jacksonville the 2-pt conversion from the 1-yard line. i get it. you're pissed. maybe justifiably so. but losing your cool doesn't help anyone. except the opponent.

I was saying the same thing during the 49ers game. Was dumbfounded watching the 1st half thinking wtf kind of game plan is Shanahan running. You have CMC, a healthy Mitchell and Deebo and then you have a rookie qb making his 1st start throwing 20 passes in the first half . Great halftime adjustments and a 25-6 2nd half led to a blowout Niners win. Up 27 pts with Ekeler and you lose? Inexcusable! Brandon Staley will be fired by Monday at the latest.

Don’t see this happening…

Spanos Family traditionally doesn’t pay…

and the move to Payton will cost in many more ways than the salary…..
