Seahawks Defensive Coordinator is Gus
Bradley...Gus who? How did this guy come along and have the 2nd best
Defense(statistically) in the League(Probably the best)
Gus is a hold
over for Seattle from the Disastrous Jim Mora's season there...How did
this no name guy produce such a good defense? Welp He is connected with
Monte Kiffin for three years in Tampa, Don't confuse Monte Kiffin for
Goofy son Lane..Monte Kiffin has built some Great Defenses...Before the
Tampa Years he was DC for The North Dakota State Bison's ahh the
Bison's!!! As DC there he ran their defense?1997-2002 and 2005?the
Bison went 53-26....Bradley's unit led the Great West conference in
scoring defense and total defense....This guy has no name recognition from the Media (YET)and is quietly getting this defense better..

Seahawks Offensive Coordinator is
Darrell Bevell...Not another famously familiar name...He has some good
history of offensive teams he has been associated with, He has been here
last year and this season, He was a QB at Wisconsin and in '93 went
10-1-1 and won the Rose Bowl over UCLA..
In 2000, Bevell was
hired by the Packers as a offensive assistant working with Brett Farve
and the offense..In 2006, Childress was hired as the head coach of the
Minnesota Vikings,
and he brought Bevell to his team as offensive coordinator...There is
certainly not alot of offense this year going on as the Seahawks are
ranked 31st out of 32 teams..BUT they are 7th in the league running the
ball..

SF Defensive coordinator is Vic Fangio...he was brought from Stanford by Harbaugh And this guy is Solid, last year he turned the 49ers defense around producing a league-high 35 turnovers...
This
year he has the 9th in total defense..(9th run,2nd passing)In 2011,
Fangio led a 49ers defensive unit that ranked first in the NFL
against the run (77.3 yards per game), tied for first with 38 takeaways
and second in points allowed (14.3 points per game). The defense did not
allow a rushing touchdown through the first 14 games of the season,
setting a new NFL record. The unit allowed just three rushing touchdowns
all season, which is the lowest total allowed since the NFL went to a
16-game schedule in 1978. The 49ers defense also led the NFC in points
allowed (14.3), yards allowed per game (325.9), opposing quarterback
rating (73.6), first downs allowed (267) and ranked second in red zone
defense (41.2 pct.).
Prior to joining Stanford, Fangio served on the Baltimore Ravens
coaching staff from 2006-09 as a special assistant to the head coach
and linebackers coach. In his four seasons with Baltimore, the Ravens
led the NFL in total defense in 2006, ranked second in 2008 and third in
2009.

Fangio spent the previous four seasons as the defensive
coordinator of the Houston Texans (2002-05). His 2002 defense ranked
eighth in the AFC overall and fourth in the conference in pass defense.
The Texans scored three defensive touchdowns against the Pittsburgh
Steelers at Heinz Field in Week 14 en route to a 24-6 victory.

In
2004, the Texans set a team record and ranked fifth in the NFL with 22
interceptions, five of which were returned for touchdowns. Houston did
not allow a touchdown for 13 straight quarters from Week 13 to 16,
posting the longest stretch by any team in the league that season.

Fangio
served as the defensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts from
1999-2001. The Colts posted a 13-3 record in Fangio?s first season after
going just 6-26 the previous two years. Indianapolis won its first
division title in 15 years, while the Colts defense improved from last
to 15th under his guidance. The 2000 Colt defense tallied 42 sacks and
made strides in all other statistical categories....Like I said, This guy is SOLID.

SF Offensive Coordinator is Greg Roman...Under Roman?s direction in 2011, the 49ers notched a 13-3 record as the
offense ranked in the NFL?s top 10 in points per game (23.8 - tied for
10th), rushing yards per game (127.8 - 8th) and time of possession
(32:04 - 4th). Additionally, the offense committed just 10 turnovers (5
fumbles, 5 interceptions), which ranks tied for first in NFL history for
the fewest turnovers in a season, also setting a franchise record.
Roman has been a member of the coaching staffs of the Carolina Panthers
(1995-2001), Houston Texans (2002-03) and Baltimore Ravens (2006-07). He
also spent two seasons (2009-10) on Jim Harbaugh?s coaching staff at
Stanford....

Roman joined the Cardinal in 2009 as the running game
coordinator, with position responsibilities of tight ends and offensive
tackles. In 2010, he kept those responsibilities, but also added the
duties of associate coach and assistant head coach of the offense.
Roman
has been called the Mad Scientist of Coordinators,For Example, during
the 49ers' 27--19 Week 2 win over the Lions, as Roman used 10
different personnel groups in San Francisco's first 15 plays. On
consecutive snaps to open the game Roman went with one back, one tight
end and three wide receivers; two backs, one tight end and two
receivers; and one back, two tight ends and two receivers. On the fourth
play he used two backs and tight end Vernon Davis, who beat the safety
to the left corner of the end zone for a touchdown.
Against Green Bay a week earlier, Roman had guard Leonard Davis, a 6'6",
350-pound line up at tight end for the
first time in his career. On other occasions against the Packers and the
Lions he had 6'3", 308-pound guard Daniel Kilgore join Leonard Davis at
tight end. And when he really wanted to go big, Roman had 6'4",
293-pound defensive tackle Will Tukuafu at fullback.
Welp, The Mad
Scientist got alittle too cocky last week against the Giants,In last
year?s regular-season win over the Giants, the 49ers fooled their
opponent with a pass-first game plan..11 months after that win, the
49ers tried a similar plan against the
Giants on Sunday. This time, they exited with 3 interceptions, a
26-3 loss and the coach who panned the plan didn?t meet the media
after this one....Bad Plan against a Great Defensive Coordinator.

all in all the Coordinators are Rock solid for both Defenses,The Offensive Coordinator's....Bevell and Roman ...What
and how are they game planning this one? If Roman get's cute again this
week Gus Bradley and his Big Secondary will make him pay again...I
think he will game plan conservative.

I do LOVE the secondary
for Seattle,Browner, Chancellor, and Sherman : They're all tall?Browner

is six-foot-four, Chancellor and Sherman are both six-foot-three?and
physical... I personally don't like small Corners....I like my Team to
have athletic physical corners....Which is rare in the League
today.Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was one of Harbaugh?s and DC
Fangio former players at Stanford(Fangio should know Sherman's
weaknesses)

Picking this game is tricky,Both will be bringing
their best and both will be "Up" for it...The Match-up of This Rookie QB
and Offensive Coordinator is Darrell Bevell for Seattle against Vic Fangio will be interesting because
though The Rookie Wilson is pretty savy...But he and Bevell will lStruggle in
this battle, Fangio has been around the Block too many times and Bevell
is a Average OC at best...It seems when they get down that is when they
let Wilson loose...And Wilson , Ya HAVE to pressure him or he will do
the comeback thing again here...
The 49ers of last year was awesome,
This year....who knows but so far, They have had issues losing at
Minnesota and at home to the Giants..
One Important thing missing from last year?s success? Awesome special
teams play.... The 49ers constantly put the offense and defense in Fabulous
positions in 2011. This season though the 49ers have struggled and it shows, particularly
in punt and kickoff coverage, where they are ranked 30th in covering
punts and 31st in defending kickoffs...?We do miss Blake(Blake Costanzo),? fullback Bruce Miller said. ?He was a heck of a
special teams player. He had a great feel for whatever team it was, he
had a good feel for what was going on. He played for (special teams
coach) Brad Seely for years.?
Blake Costanzo was let loose by the
49ers as he was basically only a special teams player....He Now plays
for the Bears...Bet They wish they had that to do over...

Alex Smith and OC Greg Roman Vs
Gus Bradley...This will be Interesting,Moss,Davis, ect vs the
secondary for Seattle,Browner, Chancellor, and Sherman : physical wr's
vs Physical Aggressive secondary.. THIS WILL be the Battle! or will it?
Does Roman have the balls to try that pass alot crap again this week?
Good Question, I'd say Harbaugh wants a Physical run game this week.

Last
year these same coaches battled, 1st game @ Seattle was a ugly 19-17
49er win..the 2nd game also was close @ 19-17 but all hell broke loose
in the last 5 minutes of that game as Ted Ginn basically blew it open
LATE in the 4th with a 102 Kickoff return and a 55 yard punt return...

Ok,
Special Teams are bad for the 9ers,They just had a Pass 1st game plan
blow up in their face and I think this will be a conservative game plan
hoping the defense forces Wilson into Mistakes,That Seattle secondary ya
don't want to mess with I'm telling ya...Seattle will be conservative
too...I can see a 19-17 game again this year...
NFC underdogs are 32-5 vs spread:popcorn2
this year, 4-1 as divisional road dogs.

I think I will add ....

Seattle+8(1 unit) There just is not 7-8 points separating these two teams, I don't care how mad SF is....Truth be told, I don't even think the 49ers will win this.
